This car is sick I was wanting a daily, and yet sporty. The ralliart definitely fits my needs even today.

Great review, didnt know this car existed. I have an 03 lancer oz rally auto, its been super reliable with 180k. Havnt done anything but oil and filters in 30k
  • Great review, was looking into purchasing a sportback ralliart, and decided to pull the trigger!

It's funny. Around 20 years ago, when Mitsubishi first started selling the Lancer in the US, and the Evo was just another cool JDM car we couldn't get, they sold the Lancer with an appearance package called OZ Rally Edition. It had some dinky upgraded rims, FWD and a naturally aspirated 2.0 engine. Back then I chose my side, bought a Subaru and lost interest in Mitsubishi. I've heard of the Lancer Ralliart, but I've always assumed it was just another appearance package. Nice to know there's some substance to it.

the ralliart lancer to the evo is what the wrx is to the sti basically

Here's some better knowledge the Ralliart and the Evo X are they EXACT same engines and both have AYC pumps but the Evo has an upgraded version of that AWC. The difference in the engine is literally the Tune the Turbo (RA has a single scroll Evo X has a Twin Scroll) and the intercooler is smaller on the RA. The Lancer Ralliart is a detuned Evo X.

great review, i know im late but still, you did good...especially about saying its not an Evo and thats its perfect for a daily that puts a smile on your face, i felt right at home and probably will buy one asap!

Theres nothing wrong putting evo x parts in ralliart.
  • @ariyankhan4337
So i saw a ralliart for sale for 7k with 112,000km on it and the cheapest evo x i could find was for 19k but it had 290,000km on it and was modded to hell and back just saying u can buy evo parts and bolt it straight on so at most you are spending 15k on the most for evo clone and also u can upgrade a lot of stuff meaning with the evo twin scroll turbo and the intercooler and better piping and bolt ons and a tune and ur looking at 350hp i know it will never be as good as a evo but a good evo x costs around 30k in my area so yeah its worth it i know someone who has over 550whp in his ralliart but i think thats a bit much for a daily

Its a dual cluth transmission Its not like a standard automatic with a torque converter and a slush box. This is engineered completely different. Sequentials have been used in rally cars forever its fitting

Your comment on getting older was so relatable lol. Good review

I used to have a 2012 one it was a nice little car, now I have a Kia Forte gt and it reminded me of this car

I'm actually looking for a black on black one or a blue one I need lancer ralliart in my life I did always want a evo but there very pricey and this one is the best thing to that.
  • I have a 09 Ralliart. They’re quick but the sst is expensive to maintain especially if something fails.
  • @DaveBudness
ahh you can only have so much fun in an automatic. As much as I love my GSR. I wish there was a 6 gear in my car.
