In this video, Scratch 3.0 Tutorial: How to Make Plants vs. Zombies (Part 1), I create our first plant, the pea shooter, and our first enemy zombie. I make the pea shooter shoot out peas, and also add health and a walk animation for the zombie.

Plants vs. Zombies (pvz for short) is a tower defense game where players use plants to defend their house from invading zombies. The goal for the players is to collect sun and place plants to stop the zombies from reaching their home.

I'm so happy you're starting a new tutorial series, your tower defense tutorials were a big help in the making of BTD1, 2 and 3 on scratch! :D Can't wait for part 2!

I am a Scratch and Plants VS Zombies enthusiast, and even though there are some tutorials for Scratch Plants VS Zombies, I can just see this one being better than all of them. I would've never thought anybody would use the fisheye technique for animation in a PVZ game, but honestly it isn't that bad. Keep going :)
