its more tragic for zelda since she was a dragon waaaaaay longer than 1000 years. the great calamity happened 10,000 years ago. the events we see happen in the past take place waaaaaaay before that. shes been a dragon for 10s of thousands of years

Since Zelda becomes a dragon during the age of hyrules founding, that could mean that sh s a dragon in every Zelda game before breath of the wild. It could also be the reason why every princess in hyrule is named Zelda

I have to say sometimes I am jealous of people who can break or cry during games or movies/tv-shows. No matter how strong the feeling sad or happy which I do have ofc during those moments, I never cried during those moments as long as I can remember.
