Its so nice of your police friend to make sure you don't accidentally teach anyone to make a simple high powered projectile accellerator. That means more of your viewer, without necessarily having the slightest clue how to come up with a somewhat safe design, get the opportunity to entertain themselves and their friends as they figure it out on their own using tools and materials that probably aren't rated for the forces involved.
