Shawn Prez and Yung Joc discussed the ingrained violence in the hip-hop industry. They mentioned the untimely death of Big Jook, who was killed shortly after attending a funeral. The hosts discussed potential ties to Young Dolph's murder, while Yung Joc emphasized the need for the community to seek balance rather than retaliation and speculated that the recurring cycle of violence and "settling scores" needs to stop. The two noted the saddening fact that their discussions frequently return to the loss of successful artists in the hip-hop industry through violence, reiterating their desire to see this cease.

  • Out of every interview I’ve ever watched of Joc this one of him explaining having to tell his son “No” he can’t go to the party hit close to home. As a parent of a teenage son it literally break my heart to the point of losing sleep having to say no to my son. Times is just so much worse than when we were kids that I’m traumatized by the outcomes of friends and family saying yes. Never thought I’d be like our parents back in the day saying the famous line “you’ll understand when you get older” 💯

Then rappers say it isn't the music that brings destruction, but no artists in no other genre die violently like hip hop.
  • @strauqq1
Man, this dude always make me think with an eye opening perspective. Solid
  • I still don't understand why people be so surprised by these deaths when violence is the number one subject of the genre. These rappers have to take responsibility for the energy that they put out. Salute to rappers like Dee-1 for bringing awareness to that.
