--------
Shawn Prez kicked off his first interview on VladTV for 2024 with American rapper Yung Joc. During the interview, they discussed Prez's interview style, Joc's sartorial choices, and recent comments made by DJ Vlad regarding actress Taraji P. Henson's comments on financial disparity in Hollywood. Vlad, who frequently goes viral due to his controversial opinions, had stated that no one wanted to listen to millionaires complaining about not being paid enough. Responding to Vlad's comments, Joc emphasized the complex dynamics of sexism, classism, and colorism in the Hollywood industry. He argued that just because someone appears wealthy or successful, it doesn't necessarily mean they are being fairly compensated for their work. He also applauded Henson for speaking up about the issue, stressing that change is only possible when people are vocal about the problems they encounter.

Vlad would’ve been talking over joc the whole time he was talking. What joc is saying is what math was trying to say to vlad but vlad wanted to over talk math the whole time and wanted to win the argument instead of letting the guest talk

it does not matter how much you make, nothing hurts more than not getting what you put in as far as work

Joc, speaking facts as usual. Taraji has every right to feel how she feels.
  • The reality is Taraji is an entertainer. She is an actress that gets paid to act. Meaning she is an employee. She is at the mercy of the studio hiring her for a gig. Employees have zero power. Which is why the ownership word has become popular as of late. But if she feels some type of way. I respect that she is speaking out about it. Wrong is wrong and fair is fair. But make no mistake about it. She is an employee. The hired help who can be replaced.
  • I mean imagine working a 9 to 5 for 15-20 years and only got 2 raises and the last raise was 6 years ago, you’d feel played too..
  • Joc is probably one of the only guests I actually watch the whole video of

My boy Joc staying in code with this one
  • We have to stand together at the top just like we have to stand together at the bottom! Salute to Joc 💯

What we have to ask ourselves at the end of all this is, "How much do you expect to make and why??" Luenell said Taraji should get Meryl Streep money. When you look at the DECADES of experience Meryl Streep has, that is absolutely not true. She cannot even compare to the experience of a Angela Bassett or Loretta Devine, two actors who also happen to be black females. So when we hear, "Taraji isn't paid what she's worth", we need to know how much she thinks she's worth and give a comparison. You can't expect to pay the same amount for a Mercedes that you spend on a Toyota. Or a Hyundai. Other factors come into play. We simply need more info to agree or disagree.

I think she shouldn’t have said it during the press run because some people may have not seen it just because they didn’t like that Taraji felt underpaid.

Joc's interviews are some of my favorites and I watch them all. He's definitely on some grown man *hit and young men should take notes on his perspective on lots of issues. Great video 👍
  • As a working class black man, no one wants to hear celebrities/wealthy people talk about money.
  • I for the first time agree with Vlad!!! There was many folks out there that work 60- 70 hours a week and hungry with no house or a car cry me a river!!!
  • @therealmvp232
She’s getting paid what she’s worth. She’s not box office. Vlad is right. No one wants to hear millionaires complain about $$$$. When most people are living paycheck to paycheck

The Market pays the price. Don't like the price make yourself more valuable. The entitlement and narcicissm of wealthy people is incredible.

I can just imagine how soft & comfortable Joc shirt feels. I like the fabric, not just name. As far as Taraji I can't believe she cried & carried on during the press runs of promoting the film. How could you not know that was a bad idea, sell the movie for ppl to go & watch not dog it out, Do that afterwards. What about Fantasia & Danielle spotlight you are dimming seems just selfish. We all feel played on our jobs sometimes.
