Amazed by all the new and old music I'm discovering. Some I've never heard before, others I never truly listened to and explored.
BUT that's all about to change....Come on this ride with me.

After 47 years, Rumors is still moving new listeners.

If you watch the live version of The Chain from 1982 (and Silver Springs from The Dance concert film) you can see Lindsey and Stevie expressing all that pain right up there on stage. It's amazing how they can turn those emotions on and off in the service of their art.

Almost every song on this album is one of their Greatest Hits. It's just incredible.

Christine McVie . The bass player John's wife was a fabulous singer and pianist . RIP Christine ❤️

Stevie Nicks has such a unique and beautiful voice; one of a handful of vocalist who you recognize from almost the first note.
  • @nickgraham2506
The harmonies between Stevie, Christine and Lindsay were simply beautiful.
  • @caps689
Stevie Nicks said the opening lines "Now here you go again/ you want your freedom/ who am I to keep you down" were written from Lindsey Buckingham's POV. Stevie wanted her freedom. The cover is Mick Fleetwood (drummer & co founder of the band) not Buckingham.
  • "When the rain washes you clean you'll know." In my case, the rain was age & maturity. When I think of what I did to other people while having my fun, it makes me want to cry! Sadly, the storm didn't come until I was in my 40s!
  • I was in high school in the 70s, and this song played a lot on the radio .
  • As soon as you learn about the back story to this song, the true artistry of this band unfolds.... beautiful

Yes, Fleetwood is sporting two wooden, dangling balls, and no, the crass allusion is not lost on us. However, those balls are actually pieces of “lavatory chains” that Fleetwood ripped from a toilet earlier in his career. “In truth, I started off as a blues player. The whole ethic of a lot of blues music is slightly suggestive, might I say. And suitably, I walked out on stage with these two lavatory chains with these wooden balls hanging down, and after that, it just stuck,” Fleetwood said. The wooden balls became a perverse good luck token of sorts for Fleetwood, and they became a constant companion to his drum kit in subsequent performances.
  • Now THAT'S how music is supposed to sound! Talented song writers, musicians and lyricists working together to create unique perfection. No need for 'sampling', autotune or drum machines.

The live version of Rhiannon from 1976, great performance and shows why we’re so captivated by Stevie.

This is one of the best selling Rock LPs of all time. It is simply a masterpiece from the first to last song: a concept musicians today can't even fathom. I was around 11 when this came out and trust me it had a LOT of stiff competition and yet still became a top selling album. For music, the 70s were the best. The story behind this LP is that band members who were in relationships with each other were having fall outs and the tension found itself into the music. The LP's 2nd side is masterful.

I love how you took time to recognize Mic Fleetwoods drumming. He is not only one of the greatest drummers ever, he was also th glue that held everyone together during the whole "rumors" tragedy, even when his own life and marriage was suffering as well.

I adore "GOLD DUST WOMAN!" Its dark and haunting....
  • @InspectorVol
Now you need to do the live version of “Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac on the tv show “Midnight Special”.
  • Such a highly acclaimed album and it’s awards are well deserved. You will love the whole album. Go your own way is a hugely successful song off this album as well. Love your reaction
