In today's video, we head out to a newer restaurant in Clermont, Florida called Portillo’s. Portillo’s is a chain restaurant that just recently opened a location in Clermont, Florida. We have filmed a Portillo’s restaurant before but when we went, we only got hot dogs and so many people had suggested we get the Italian Beef Sandwich. Typically, we will pick hot dog over the sandwich but we at least wanted to try it and see what it was like. It was really good! As far as an Italian Beef sandwhich, it was stinkin’ good and it was also massive! There was so much beef on it. We also got cheese sauce to dip it in and some fries. Portillo’s has some really good desserts so we went with the Lemon Cake and it was stinkin’ good. It was really sweet so we took some of it home but also good. We really enjoyed our experience and still think Portillo’s is a solid, quick, inexpensive restaurant to eat at. If you are looking for a restaurant in Clermont, Florida, check out Portillo’s!

    Love Portillos when I lived in Chicago, next time order wet, they dip the whole sandwich in the gravy, its messy but totally worth it

    Italian beef sandwiches need giardinara on them to be best they can be. In Chicago they add sport peppers, which are spicy.

    If you go to Portillo’s again in the future, they have the best onion rings. Large and crispy. Onion doesn’t slide out nor mushy. Nice and crispy fried.

    Great review guys! In Chicagoland, we probably have a dozen places that serve better Italian Beef than Portillo’s - but they DO have great hot dogs and hamburgers… Cheers!

    Love Portillos! We recently visited in in Orlando while on vacation although we do have one here in California. I’m a beef sandwich girl with sweet peppers. And CHOCOLATE cake all day!

    Love Portillo’s! So happy they are in FL now. You have to get the sandwich wet. It is messy but so good. They are building one in The Villages. Yay!

    I've never had a Chicago dog , i can't imagine tomato and sport pepper.. But I sure want to try it. Kinda surprised the sauce is gravy and not AuJus . Good video..

    Portillo's Big Beef sandwich ROCKS !!! Get it wet with the hot peppers ( which are not really hot ) and a side of gravy. The fries are good, but the sandwich is absolutely incredible and a big meal, so come hungry !! The flavor of the beef with the gravy is so good and you will be glad you ordered it. * You missed out on not getting the gravy on your sandwich its like a "Au Jus" and really makes the sandwich great !! *

    We went to the one in Fort Worth TX. Looks just like that one inside. I made the mistake of getting my sandwich dipped. I would never do that again. I would get the gravy on the side. It’s basically juice not gravy like you think of. It was a soggy mess. I think I might like it better with cheese on it. To the hot dog was ok. Not sure what I would get if we go again.

    You did Chicago well on this review! I agree with you a beef sandwich can be difficult to eat at times. Next time ask for your fries well done for the cheese sauce. My brother in-law (from Florida) couldn’t believe a simple sandwich could be this good. We visit this every 2 months..,you will gain 60 pounds in no time. Great review.
