both trucks have power but in this tug of war there are many factors to consider aside from the engine torque, one is the weight of the vehicle, second is the grip of tires, third is the level and the quality of the terrain

Both are quite good pick ups aren't they mostly fairly equal or near enough. I admire Toyota. The name. The company. The integrity of the product. However the Ford is pretty damn good too. Conclusion from this video is possibly a draw. Depends on the tyres on both cars though. That is important.

My verdict: Ford might be better in looks and specs but as for the Hilux... in reliability and off-roading skills it is better.

Toyota has more passengers to grip the ground and hence increase stability, some of the passengers are even jumping

The hilux had AT tires.. ranger had stock highway tires.. you can see it as the ranger's tires was slipping all the time..

I got the Ford ranger. Best car I ever bought. I can drive at 50 kph in top gear and it just chugs along. I think the body was made in Thailand. 3,000 litre turbo diesel.
