TRYING TO SAVE AN OLDER VICTIM FROM SCAMMERS (CANADA) PART 1

The number of blockades that keep you from helping actual victims is frustrating. They may be in place for good reasons but, in this instance, they were infuriating. Good job in recruiting help & saving the victim!! 💜

This one got me so angry. The incompetence and failure of anyone in any official position to help is disgusting. If I remember correctly someone watching the stream lived nearby and was able to go to her house and warn her and she didnt send the money. Companies need to do better. If I were a member of that bank I would close my account knowing that they didn’t have my back.

I have the utmost respect for everything you do knowing the ridiculous hoops and red tape you have to go through to try and protect people from being scammed. Sometimes people are unable to trot into their branch. Hopefully there will be some kind of change in the law to circumvent this. Also I hate ringing and listening to a stupid robot. You are a gift from god Mr P. You have an amazing team, an army supporters and even scammers who love you. Don’t forget to look after yourself.

I'm in Ottawa, Ontario and experience an average of 2 scam calls a day. While it's getting out of control, the governments are doing all they can, NOTHING👎

This is why I am afraid of getting scammed! Trying to get authorities to do anything about it is like pulling teeth.

Lol. That is exactly what it's like to call people in Canada. Even a cab, store, hospital or pharmacy. Rambling msg, followed by various number selections, then a beep to leave a message. Ugh.

So frustrating. He wasn't asking for any of her information, this literally could have been an internal thing where the bank reaches out to the customer. Just goes to show how little companies care about your wellbeing

It’s so sad that the bank employees don’t give a sh!t about their elderly customers 🥴they are like oh well it’s nothing I can do which is bullshyt 🙄if they weren’t so freaking lazy they could help her. That’s why I thank God every day for you Pierogi because you have a heart of gold and you are so passionate when it comes to saving victims. Cal the banks back and tell them “write this down and I’ll hang up” and then tell them all that info and tell them to call their customer about the problem

All we can do is try, and keep trying, its never a loss until we give up, then us as well as all fail. You got our support bro "WE" us all of us wont stop making these scammers payback what they stole, until they've given it back!!! Huge props she got saved!!

This victim in question (who P was trying to help out and who eventually did) lives 1 mile (under 2km) from my house. I wish I was watching that live stream because I could have been at her front door 🚪 in under 5 mins. Thankfully a viewer was able to contact his/her cousin who lived in the suburbs called “The West Island” and get in contact with her. If I remember correctly (as this happened a few months ago) they were able to help the woman. I know some reporters who work for the local news station… I wonder if they would do a story about this. If Perogi is interested… I could reach out. :) … It’s all about getting people the knowledge and education about these scammers especially if they are elderly and don’t have access to a computer/internet/YouTube.

For a moment I wasn't sure if P was going to pull this one off. Domestic situations are one thing, international is another. It's so intense when you're at the mercy of events out of your control, privacy acts, road blocks etc. This was an amazing success story!! Nicely executed P!
