This is one of the hardest videos I have had to film. I talk openly about autism diagnosis and the process we went through. Some words of wisdom on how I got through it. I am as honest and raw as I’ll ever be.

My name is Dylan too! I have high functioning autism myself and I'm 15 years old!

This made me soooo emotional. My two year old was recently diagnosed with level 3 asd. He was playing with his cars today and I was on the floor with him and he came up and kissed me twice 😭🥰 seriously the best feeling in the world
  • I don’t have a child with autism but somehow I stumbled I across of this video. I just want to say that those videos of you and your son are one of the most precious things I have ever seen. You are an amazing mama, respect to you.

Lots of similarities to my story and my son. He's almost 23, did 2 years in college, has worked jobs, traveled, has hobbies and groups of friends and lives a great life.

I just found out last week my 4 year old first born child is autistic & it's hard because he doesn't say any words I spent 2 nights crying just trying to figure out how can I help him, I just want to say God gives the biggest battles in life to the strongest soldiers, You are a strong person and an Amazing mum! X

Thank you for this video. We just got the diagnosis today. It has been overwhelming and I already have been feeling like others don’t want me to feel all the emotions I’m feeling about this. I love my son and know he can and will live a full life, but I still have fear and worry about how the world will treat him.

Im 22 and I was diagnosed with Autism when I was 16 and I did 4 years at college and now I'm in my 2nd year of university doing better than I ever thought I would

You're right families with the "typical" child do not understand. It took me having my second child and watching her developing faster than her big brother was the awakening for me. You're a beautiful family, thank you for your openness.

I loved this video, my son is 7 with Autism. He was almost all non verbal until he was 5! Now he is making complete sentences and can have a conversation! He is half autism program and half gen ed. We never know how our kids will grow but we can never give up on them. Forget the doctors who say there's nothing we can do. We as parents have to work hard for our kids. Bless you and your beautiful family. ❤

I am on the spectrum. I stim, there are lots of foods I can’t eat as well as fabrics I can’t touch or wear . I’m a terrible sleeper in facts it’s the hardest part of having autism for me( because when I’m tired my symptoms worsen). I get overwhelmed in stores and large crowds. With that being said there is hope . I am a productive member of society. I have a full time job , a house a car . And I have raised two amazing daughters. Diet for me is huge I’m a vegan and try to eat Whole Foods . My symptoms are lessened when I eat well and when I have a strict routine.

I am an expecting mom. I am so glad I stumbled on this video! I am a special needs teacher for level 3 asd. You did amazing in intervening with your son. I am always very amazed when parents educated themselves and whole heartedly do the best they can for their child! Thank you!
  • This is a great channel. My almost 17 year old son has Autism. It is a journey. We all, (as parents) do the best we can. Please be good to yourselves so that you can support your child with Autism. I wouldn't want my son any other way. He is amazing. All of our children are amazing.
  • This made me cry, I felt like it was me speaking through that video, thank you for posting, my son is 2.5 years and has his ASD assessment coming up, in my heart I know but just want the resources to help my son have the most happy life he can have. You are an amazing mom❤ Lots of love from🇨🇦
  • I'm also 25 years old and recently had my first son (3 months old and a half) and he was born with vocal chord paralysis almost,he was 1 month at a children's hospital in NICU and was very hard since he is my first child .Wished all babies would born healthy and strong . Hugs to all the strong babies and Moms 🙏🙏blessings to ALL
  • Thank you for this video! My daughter just got diagnosed with autism. She’s 2.5 years old. I cry, I cry a lot because I feel alone and I’m overwhelmed and I don’t know where to start. Your video made me feel that everything will be okay. Thank you very much
  • 🙌 for your statement about early intervention! I am an early intervention provider in the U.S. and have found some really nice success with the Autism Navigator program for toddlers.
  • You have a wonderful relationship with your son, well done. My daughter was diagnosed at 18 months, I have brought her up on my own along with her older brother. It has been hard work but when I see how she is now at 31 I am so proud how she has coped along the way. She has a job, drives, and has many wonderful friends all with some form of learning difficulty, she could not cope with mainstream friends, her brain doesn't function the same way. I wish you and your lovely family all the best, all the hard work and perseverance will pay off.
  • @emilamabama
This is the first video I’ve ever seen of yours but it is apparent that you’re a wonderful mummy
