Guy: I'm tired Joe: Just build a home gym, a sauna, take icebaths, go running everymorning, go hunting for elk (no matter whether there's elk in your country) and spend thousands of dollars in vitamin supplements, IVs and private doctors, nutritionists, etc! That's the problem with people nowadays Rogan has become an NPC, you know exactly how the dialogue tree is gonna go when you bring up certain topics. And don't worry, if the guest doesn't bring it up he will. Kinda like the old joke "How do you recognize tell apart the vegan in a crowd? He'll tell you"
  • Shane Gillis is one of the few comedians that I don't mind Joe having on, not only is he funny but he also has a lot of history knowledge.

Hearing shane completely correct joe on the Viking stuff he spews every week was amazing. Im definitely gonna replay this one

I saw Shane live and he's absolutely hilarious, my face hurt from laughing by the end of it. He deserves every bit of fame and success he's been getting lately

Shane is a man's man for normal dudes. You just know that if you met him at a bar without knowing who he was that you'd have a great conversation with him. His ego doesn't bleed into his personality at all which is pretty rare given how famous he is.

Shane is so much more than a Brogan. He's the main Dawg brother.

Shane is by far my favorite comedian at the moment and he absolutely has not slowed down all the things that people hate him for and I love it. Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast is a gem.
  • Just saw shane live in a 6000 person theatre this weekend and he absolutely killed it. He's no longer up and coming, he's THE man right now
  • How are you cranking out a 15 minute video analyzing a JRE episode from literally yesterday? That's some work
  • @guuradubs
One of the funniest things about Shane Gillis’ career is his parents having no idea why he’s so successful now and his Dad trying to give him comedy tips 😂
  • @outuvcontext
Shane and Theos first episode had me crying several times during one episode.
  • Love how Shane feels like he can throw his weight around on JRE now. Night and day difference from his anxious first appearance
  • 100% Rogan needs Shane more than Shane needs Rogan - Gillis is a complete living legend and an actual comic
  • Shane absolutely deserves everything he has. One of the best comedians out there and its always nice to see the community be so supportive of a special needs guy 😊❤

I totally get that Rogan is a massive Gatekeeper in the Comedy scene and that he is a massive career booster for an upcoming comedian. But there need to be more Guests like Shane who are not afraid to call him out on his bullshit takes. There are too many yes-men on his show.

Matt and Shane's podcast is my absolute favorite. Both Matt and Shane are deserving of praise!

As someone who has a good knowledge of history, especially on the Viking Age, hearing Joe talk about giant mythical Viking super warriors makes me roll my eyes everytime. Although I will say Shane is also wrong, the Vikings (Norse and Danes if we're talking their actual names) would be taller than say southern and central Europeans but so would other northern Europeans like the Anglo-Saxons. And the Vikings did discover North America, they called it Vinland after the grapes they found there.
