The Seine River is an integral part of Paris — and of the 2024 Olympics. Athletes in some swimming events will compete in the river, despite questions about if the river would be safe to race in. Jeff Glor has more.

"CBS Saturday Morning" co-hosts Jeff Glor, Michelle Miller and Dana Jacobson deliver two hours of original reporting and breaking news, as well as profiles of leading figures in culture and the arts. Watch "CBS Saturday Morning" at 7 a.m. ET on CBS and 8 a.m. ET on the CBS News app.

  • I saw a recent documentary, and they have huge sharks in there😂😂
  • They need to start consuming dirt and boost their immunity before swimming in it. It's all about immunity.

It is a shame that France, being a first-world country, has such a polluted river. It is disgusting how they can imagine that athletes are going to swim in such a polluted dump. SHAME ON FRANCE.
