From Citrus County to Highlands County, FOX 13's meteorologist Dave Osterberg offers what can be expected for each county in the viewing area based on the current forecast track for Hurricane Ian, as of Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022.

The Tampa Bay area will begin feeling the impacts of Hurricane Ian as soon as Wednesday when tropical storm-force winds enter the region.

While the cone of uncertainty is getting smaller as the major hurricane begins trekking toward the west coast of Florida, it also means there is less of a chance for much change in the forecast.

  • I love how this meteorologist speaks to the public. As if he were one of us.

    THANK YOU.
  • @Ocean_breezes
Been in Florida for 30 years, living 2 miles off the west coast north of Tampa.
This is bad, but we'll survive it.
Don't be stupid. Evacuate now if you are close to the coast. Been there a few times
  • @MrSaints74
Praying for all of you in Florida, stay safe.
  • ❤sending prayers down south. I am in Lake Co. and my son is down there. Hope all stay safe. ❤
  • Born and raised on the west coast of Florida. In my 42 years this hurricane is the one that's got me the most nervous. Normally it's like meh.....
Just because it always seems to turn away from where I'm living but none of us are invincible and we need to be prepared. We've had plenty of time to get our affairs in order and find shelter
  • @missriss_xoxo
Please everyone if you have pets do not leave them behind. If you are unable to evacuate with them, then call your local rescue or shelter! God bless you all!!

The rest of the country: "Prayers for Floridians".
Floridians: "Do we have enough beer?"
  • @misskimpegues

  • @Mothmom777
Sadly this isn’t just initiating new Floridians but seasoned and lifelong Floridians have never seen this magnitude of a storm . North port port Charlotte area here May Yahuah/God have mercy on us all
  • @barowt
Feel bad for Cubans right now..
  • I've lived in Florida most of my life. I'd say we've been blessed many times that the hurricanes, either changed it's path,or weakened before it hit. My mom's house is a Jim Walter wood framed house that sits about 36 minutes away from Tampa. It's still standing.
** I've been praying for another miracle for Florida.🙏
** My older sister lived in a house in Auburndale that was hit by hurricane Charles & hurricane Francis. It did damage to their roof & ripped up trees by the roots.
She called me & said that they could hear transformers exploding down the street.
** I remember the fear that they described as hurricane Charlie was shaking their old house..
** Things happen.. My sister & her husband didn't have money for upkeep & damages on their old house & it needed a complete remodel from electrical to plumbing, too much work for them to afford,so they sold their house & moved into trailers where they & their adult children are renting trailers in a park in Lakeland. My sister is very nervous about hurricane Ian because of going through the back to back hurricanes in their house & now they're all living in trailers in a park & she says they can't go to shelters because of pets & also she would need help getting up & down because she just had surgery on both of her knees..
** I told her that I've been praying & that God is bigger than any storm..
Prayers for all in the path of hurricane Ian,especially my fellow Floridians.🙏💖🙌
  • @yamistovall
We need more meteorologist like you. Great presentation.
  • The same way that hurricanes always impact the areas they hit.
There will be tons of wind, rain, and flooding, with isolated tornadoes doing the worst damage inland.
I've ridden out more of them than I ever wanted to,.. scary stuff. Hoping the best for everyone in Florida!!!
  • PRAYERS FOR WEST COAST OF FLORIDA…STAY SAFE 🙏❤️
  • @Mctrickster5
My fiancee and I are having our honeymoon at the first of the month in Clearwater. Looks like we'll be helping out, some. From a North Carolinian to the Floridians, stay safe, y'all.
  • @steven4315
Sarasota is where Pinecraft is located. A lot of Amish and Mennonite retire there. Here in Indiana many Amish work in the building trades. I predict that after the hurricane they will be heading south to help their relatives rebuild.
  • It breaks my heart this has happened it felt like my home was flooded, I’m here in Orlando and didn’t leave. I felt somewhat safer here at least, however the damages done in other places makes my heart break! I’m going to do whatever I can do to help my state clean up. May God cover us in his name. ❤
