The companies KNDS and GDLS (General Dynamics European Land Systems) have jointly developed a modular, wheeled artillery system. KNDS supplied the artillery module for the GTK Boxer and GLDS prepared the Piranha 10 x 10 to accommodate the AGM (artillery gun module). In this video, the head of combat systems at KNDS, Till von Westerman, explains the 3 main advantages of the system: firing without preparation time, firing at 360 degrees, firing while moving. These advantages are demonstrated in practice by firing live ammunition with the GTK Boxer and Piranha 10 x 10. The demonstration took place on June 26, 2024 at the Altengrabow military training area.

    Immerwieder faszinierend was Überlegende Ingenieurskunst hervorbringt. Jetzt braucht das System noch einen wirksamen Drohnen Schutz und dann kann's ab gehen an die Front in der Ostukraine.

    The "AGM Artillerie-Geschütz-Modul für GTK Boxer" knows where it is at all times, it knows this because it knows where it isnt, by subtracting where it is from where it isnt, or where it isnt from where it is, its obtains a difference... :D

    Die Feuerrate und taktische Mobilität dieses Systems sind beeindruckend, aber bei der Aufmunitionierung kommt hoffentlich noch etwas Schwung in den Prozess durch mehr Automatisierung.

    Ich bin positiv überrascht, wieviel Raum dem Feuern aus der Bewegung gegeben wird. Ich hatte bislang gedacht, dass es sich hierbei nur um einen "Party Trick" handelt, der in der Realität nicht verwendet wird, weil die Präzision zu stark leidet. Anscheinend aber meint es KNDS hiermit wirklich ernst. Gab es Erkenntnisse zur Präzision bei der Vorführung (auch wenn nur über 7 Kilometer geschossen wurde)?

    Der Boxer ist aber nicht von GDLS, wie es in der Kurzbeschreibung fälschlicherweise steht.

    Hm, alles beeindruckend, aber wie sieht es mit dem feuern in geneigtem Gelände aus? Im Stand? In der Bewegung? Nicht überall gibt es unendlich viele ebene Flächen zum feuern.
