Helldivers 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. As a Helldiver, it’s your responsibility to combat these alien forces and protect your home planet and restore peace. In doing so, you’ll need to engage in high-stakes combat with an onslaught of alien lifeforms alongside your comrades. Players are able to select Stratagems, which are air drops players can call, which include cluster bombs, sentry guns, shield generators or supply pods containing limited-use special weaponry. It’s hilarious, smartly designed, and intense whether you’re playing solo, with a squad of other random Helldivers, or serving up a nice hot cup of Liber-tea across the galaxy with your friends and spreading that sweet democracy!

Don't sleep on vitality booster. Allows you to take considerably more damage. It is essentially just a +HP booster.

Orbital precision strike all day. Once you figure out the timing its stronger the the railcannon strike with a bigger aoe then the 500k. With the ship module its almost always up. People sleep on it because its such an early stratagem but its honestly s tier right into helldive. It kills everything except gunship factories.

Surprisingly basic punisher is amazing against bots - chaff gets cleared even midrange and stuns for days!

As a super private, I recommend: Primary: Dominator or Scortcher. Dominator one shots Devastators in the face, and staggers them, preventing from firing back. Scorcher can deal with Scout Striders easier. Secondary: Grenade Pistol. For manually destroying fabricators, or to deal with a strider in a pinch. Grenade: Stun. Freezing the hulks in their tracks make them easy to deal with for many weapons. Strategems: Orbitals: Precision strike (if not using eagle airstrike), 380 or laser (both if you want more heavy base demo) Eagle: Airstrike (great all around utility, can also deal with multiple fabricators (remember it strafes perpendicular to your throw, left to right) Support Weapon: These may alter which other strats you bring. Tailor to your needs. Sniper: Great long distance, can dispatch most enemies reliably, even gunships and heat sinks. HMG: Similar to sniper in flexibility, less range, but much higher burst. can kill a Factory Strider in less than a clip to the underbelly. highly recommend peak physique armor with this Autocannon: Demos fabricators, staggers devastators, 2 shot gunship engines, 4 shots heat sinks. great all arounder. Backpack: I swear by supply pack, always. 8 extra stuns, stims, and plentiful ammo allowing you to be cavalier with ammo and always reloading. doubles supply efficiency.

This is so close to what i already run and i would only change the armor, swap out the mortar and booster. I mostly run solo so the armor i take is the Trailblazer scout set for the increased movement speed, stealth buff and radar ping. The Jetpack to me is invaluable to get into bases undetected and can help break a pursuit by simply jumping over a wall. There's also the added benefit that nearly all extractions become trivial with a Jetpack, simply lie down on top of the tallest piece of terrain in the area and you can easily stealth-extract. Even easier if you abuse pelican-1's guard-mode to clear the area. As for the booster i tend to go for the UAV booster to help me avoid almost all enemy patrols as i move around the map.

I just started using that armor for bots 2 days ago. I had been running a full heavy armor with the same passive and when doing a collection inspection I realized I had the Enforcer that was close to what I was using but just a hard faster. It's been working great. Used it and a heavy machine gun to secure squad extraction last night during a particularly nasty bot raid. Holds up really well under heavy fire and turns missiles into ping pong paddles.

I can explain by giving the right and logical arguments , why plasma punisher is the best weapon against automatons. The first reason, is that the shield of the devistators will usually give you a ricochet if the weapon is not energy based or explosive ( ex. Eruptor) , so your inly option is to aim for the head . The second reason , is that you always have to hit the enemies directly in order for them to deal some damage , whereas the explosive weapon and the energy based weapons, might damage them even if you shoot near them ( that is why the eruptor was the best weapon brfore nerfing it). So, based on the fact the the plasma punisher stuns the enemies , and also has a greater damage and ammunition capacity than the scorcher its the goat.

Don’t get me wrong, this is brilliant. But I like this. points to HMG emplacement with the bubble shield
  • Hey, great video man, as someone who's primarily played bugs so far, I really enjoyed this Build Video. Since I wanna get started on bots, obviously without a lot of prior experience, it was concise, but still elaborate enough to understand not just what Equipment and Stratagems you need, but also why they're good! I'm definitely subscribing.

Favorite armor against bots lately has been medium armor with the extra padding. Feel like a boss being able to take that extra damage
  • My fav bulld Dominator Senator Stuns grenades Heavy or medium explosive resistant armor Autocannon 380mm barrage Air strike Last stratagem feel free to take anything but I prefer Orbital precision, orbital EMS, or 500kg
  • @morgansmith1687
I’m not very good/don’t like AMR very much. So I use auto cannon or some form of antitank. Other than that, that’s what I have found work best too. After running the EMP mortar instead of a shield backpack for a while, I firmly believe this is the way to go. No need for a backpack when the enemies can’t fire at you.

Lately I've been rocking: - light or medium armor with fortified - pummeler (scorcher is great too) - grenade pistol my beloved - stun grenades - recoilless rifle - basic eagle airstrike (the goat) - 380mm or orbital laser depending on mission type - and the autocannon sentry whenever the 4th slot is available
  • @TheUdonnoodle
Good build. Personally I like the auto cannon and plasma punisher more. Also the 380 over the orbital laser. Yes less accurate but just as devastating and infinite uses.
  • @jons5478
I do exactly this but I love the Punisher Plasma
  • @drdickqueso
If you are not head shorting with counter sniper you ain’t living. One shot devastators with a primary that feels and fires good.
  • @dabrigadier1101
The AC fits my build fine and rarely use the AMR since I rely on the AC for utility too. Also, you can bust open containers with the AMR but not factories. I use the plasma shotgun now, mostly since the eruptor nerf. The rest of my kit is leaning towards heavy kills and artillery shelling. Love your build. They complement each other.
