I think those who haven't grown up watching RDJ don't fully understand his skill and range. The thing that separates good actors from great ones is their ability to recognize that nearly every actor has hundreds of different mannerisms, expressions and vocal cues that we consciously and unconsciously associate with the actor. Few are able to suppress or mask those idiosynchrosies in service to a new role. RDJ can. When we see him as Doom, we'll quickly forget Tony and only see Victor. I can't wait to see it.

Love the theory. RDJ even said New Mask Same Task, that definitely could be a clue as to how they would approach it.

I walked out of the movie theater, seeing Deadpool on Saturday and then to see on YouTube a few hours later them announce RDJ playing doom. My heart almost stopped with excitement. I was just like oh my gosh this movie just kicked off the best moments of my life, I can’t wait for the future

Imagine how badly they could have screwed with us if they only told us that RDj was only back to play Tony and then had the big reveal that he had been Doom the whole time.

Doomsday and Secret Wars are going to be bigger than the Infinity saga. Nice that the Russo's are coming back to finish off the MCU before the reboot.

I'm not ok with RDJ being Doom. And I think it's a stretch to make this work this quick. I really hope it works out though

They wouldn't introduce it like this, this early without a twist...definitely feels like they're doing "demon in armor".....Doom's mind in Stark's body! this would validate bringing back RDJ so they could mind swap back bringing back Ironman and leveling up Doom, only way it would make sense

It's probably same as their original plan i.e. one Kang going up against the council but now instead of Kang it's Doom. Dr. Doom vs The Council of Kangs

They do really obscure hints at these shows. I wonder if there is any foreshadowing with the multiple other doctor dooms behind RDJ when he unmasks himself

I think that they might put a crazy spin on it. And the reason Robert Downey Jr. Is Doom is because he's a Tony Stark's variant but became Dr. Doom instead of iron Man

I think it's consequential and they are just taking the best advantage they can of the situation they put themselves in to continue the story as best they can. And here's praying that they do not kill off Loki!
