We review and celebrate the R35 Nissan GTR, a car that was in prototype form in 2001 and has had a long 14-year run. The R35 has widely been known for performing well ahead of its time. On the Heels of the Nissan Z Proto we attempt to tell the story of what makes it unique and how it has shaped the future of performance cars. Whether you are a Porsche, BMW, Chevy, or Ford fan there is something in this video you will appreciate. Other cars to consider are Ford GT500, Chevy C8 Corvette, and Porsche 911.

Godzilla vs. my productivity for the next 30+ minutes.

I just got off of a 10 month deployment in the middle of the ocean with no port visits, and I got to tell you guys, downloading your videos was one of the few things keeping me going. You do phenomenal work, and I deeply appreciate the amount of detail you incorporate into your content. Thanks for putting these videos together!

Tamura San's interview is such a refreshing look into the thought process of this car. I think being able to see the intention of design from the designers and engineers itself really helps cut through the repetitive stat chasing mentality and shine a light on the personality that the car was given. I'm about as far from a Nissan fan as it gets but the respect I have for the GTR and the team behind it is incalculable. Fantastic work as always, Mark and Jack.

"What does GTR mean to you?" "My life's work." Damn, that one hit me. Great video guys.
  • I saw a running length of 36 minutes and I already knew I was going to have a great morning

I truly believe in 20 years we will look back at the R35 as one of the most revolutionary cars ever made. Great piece, Mark and Jack!
  • @whatsforsupa
It’s super badass that you were able to FaceTime mr GTR through the cars infotainment
  • @romero1337
Its killin me how Mark is standing on something to get head level with Jack 🤣🤣
  • The bit at the end where he says "life work" and you can see how proud he is of what he has achieved so far. Priceless.
  • I still have my 2013 GTR and I will never get rid of it. I have always wanted a GTR and when I finally was able to purchase it I was beside myself. I couldn’t believe I had this icon and legend in my garage. Even in 2022 it still turns heads. I personally met Mr. Tamura and he signed my engine cover.

Mark you are truly the Quentin Tarantino of auto reviews meaning you have the unique ability to marry the emotional connection to the imagery while still letting the plot reveal itself as the story unfolds. Love ya Bro!!!!

I don’t get why people still don’t sub to this channel. SG gives u comedy, facts, mechanical aspect, and the most perfect driving aspect review ANYWHERE on YouTube. I would be annoyed af too if I was him
  • @Bargawd
I don't even really give a shit about the technical aspects, but when you tell a story like you two do and compile the right group of folks to bring context, I stick around. Your content is far better than anything found on cable today and your production quality is not that far behind either. Touch my body.
  • @dinbarreto
I just can not understand why you guys don’t have millions of followers. For me this is the best auto channel in YouTube. Congrats.
  • The lovely attention to detail is the best thing about this channel.

My God, Jack! That was a GTR lecture compared to what we usually get from other outlets. What a reporter! You two are unrepeatable combo. Please enjoy your work and carry on.

“It’s my life work”. What an incredible send off at the end of this video with the statement.
  • @ctwoodhouse
I owned a 2017 GTR and you guys put into words everything I felt using it as my daily driver. Excellent video. Yes, you should be getting paid for this!
