Had such a great time connecting with you man 😊 Let’s do it again soon 💪🔥
  • This is exactly how I imagined what Norway's strongest man looks like.
  • @MarkyNomad
Two Norwegians communicating in English is too funny to watch as a Norwegian 😂

Shows how technique is just as important as strength when it comes to climbing
  • I met Sondre a couple of years ago while both of us worked in a gymnastics centre in Trondheim and this guy is so much more than one arm muscle ups and insane strength. He is incredibly smart and dedicated! He had just started his PhD in electrical engineering at NTNU and actually learned Mandarin after studying abroad for a short periode. Big brain, big heart and big biceps. So cool to see you on this channel!
  • I love this video because a lot of people focus too much on thinking they need to get stronger to get better at climbing, but this showcases that if you're not at a very advanced level of climbing, technique is FAR more important. Sondre is already a great climber, but you can clearly see his limiting factors are certainly not strength-related. If you're in your first few years of climbing, focus on actually learning to climb. You'll get stronger naturally, but more importantly you'll learn the technique, intuition, and muscle memory that it takes to climb hard routes. If your focus is to get better at climbing, then strength training should be more of a supplemental afterthought.

No joke, yesterday I was searching for a tutorial on handstands and found Sondre's channel. Immediately wondered how he would perform at climbing because dude's core strength is absolutely insane. And Magnus delivered this video today. Talk about coincidences..

Wow. It’s not everyday I see something that I didn’t think was possible in the fitness world. Those body weight feats are absolutely insane.

First time watching this channel and Magnus's grip and upperbody strength is CRAZY he makes it look so effortless.
  • @kedo
Both of you coached each other so well on technique. Liked the calm, chill energy between you guys. You should do more stuff together.
  • I'm a 6c climber so understand how hard this is. Totally impressed with Sondre's athletics. Top climbing teacher Magnus. Can't believe your hand strength and skill. Hats off gentlemen.
  • @Ritalie
I stumbled across this channel, and Magnus is so humble and polite and has no ego at all. I have to say, as an American, I am so glad that there are channels like this, without any ego or arrogance. The humble attitude seems to be missing in many American YouTubers.

Its weird. You look at those 2 People and think "yeah, they are definitly scandinavian"
  • No way this collab just happened. been following you Magnus for a couple years and Sondre has taken me on a handstand journey this past year and a half. So stoked for this! <3 from Canada boys!

It just goes to show how technique is just as important as strength. Both guys are supermen.
