When you see headlines like this, stop and ask yourself what else was in the bill. I don't know what all was in it yet, but I for one will be reading into it before deciding if it was wrong to vote against it.

What they are not telling you is Representative Crapo of Idaho found out that the expansion would allow people to include their income from last year. And some might not have an income this year and still be able to claim the child tax credit which would transform it from a tax break into another subsidy/welfare program.
