Loan Shark: Needs the mother’s money Also Loan Shark: Spends money on the mother’s daughter
  • No child is aware that their parents don't want them and this guy realised it. Tried to save her from the misery she'll experience later on when she becomes aware of that small yet life changing fact. Whether the guy admits it or not he truly is a nice guy that was probably in that same situation but he had no one to help him take a different path. It breaks your heart a little.
  • This manga had an epilogue too, where the girl remembers the man and regularly meets up with him for life advices.

When the protagonist doesn't show up for work so the villain has to cover for him.

Me as the loan shark: "This little girl here? This is my daughter now."

At the end when he said, "I see you've grown up safely, kid." just says so much. He's right about kids ending up being sick and twisted because of one thing their parents did wrong. It's sad how pure kids like that end up to be bad people because of how they were raised. It's sad that it works that way. They can't change it either because they don't know anything. I felt as relieved as him to see her grow up to still be kind and strong.

Love how the mother in this story is so careless and outright evil of a person, and makes the literal loan shark a good guy.

Even if you're the toughest, fearless, unbreakable, scariest man on earth, if a little girl asked you to play as Mr. Turtle, YOU PLAY AS MR. TURTLE.
  • Thug: “Wanna get a beating?” Loan Shark: So, you have chosen death
  • "Come "kidnap" me again, mister!" Damn, that breaks my little weak heart!

Love the fact that he doesn’t hide how he feels about the kid at all like some people would do to try to maintain their stoick image.
  • @bencarroll8336
"I'll have to kidnap you to teach her a lesson." Uses it as validation to go get food with the kid

Kid: *Cries* YouTube subtitle: "It's like, music to my ears"
  • It hurts more when you realize she shared more memories with the literal yakuza debt collector than her biological parents. 😢

I kind of understand his mindset: To prevent others from being a bad guy or having a bleak future like him, He prevented others by giving them treatment they never had Thus, this is one way to stop or prevention of making bad guys
