The hero of this monologue was the man pressing the laugh track button
-
That Laugh Track Operator was working overtime. 😝
-
The silence after that Barbie joke was the funniest part of the whole monologue
-
He has opened the way for comedians to do "Jo Koy at the Golden Globes" jokes for a while.
-
I love how it sounds like the place is coming apart with laughter but then they cut away to an actor in the crowd who's not at all laughing and everyone at their table is looking at their phones.
-
Where’s Will Smith when you need him 👋🏻
-
The way he keeps looking around the room after making a horrible joke expecting people to laugh is just hilarious.
-
I like how for half the jokes there's a moment of silence after where people are thinking "Oh wait, that was a joke. I'm supposed to be laughing." and then a mild chuckle sizzles from the back of the room while Jo Kay is dying laughing on the stage.
-
Brutal. Jokes weren't funny, he was fangirling over celebs, he kept repeating jokes after they flopped, he threw the joke writers under the bus while ackowledging how unfunny the jokes were and turned on the crowd multiple times. Brutal.
-
You know it’s going horribly when you have to keep reminding the crowd who wrote the jokes
-
ryans deadpan stare after the attracted to ken joke 😭😭 hes so real
-
Selena Gomez’s reaction when he made the character actor joke about sums up the whole thing.
-
Blaming writers in the wake of the writer’s strike is insane 💀
-
And yet this 10 minute monologue somehow felt longer than Oppenheimer.
-
I had to take breaks to get myself through it. I can't imagine what it's like sitting through it 10 min straight
-
The fact that I'm laughing harder at this comment section than his monologue.
-
"The ones I wrote are the ones you're laughing at" - Oof. Doesn't get more desperate and embarrassing than that 😂
-
The start was actually pretty good, composed even. The second he hit Barbie material it becomes a dumpster fire.
-
Jo is normally hilarious when his jokes are about his life and stuff. He was doing fine right before the barbie joke.. literally after that joke everyone got uncomfortable
-
Random, but that long cut away to ryan gossling not laughing at all was hilarious
