  • I did not think it was possible but with this video you have surpassed yourself yet again. Cauthen was magnificent and improved and developed into the "adequate" jockey he described himself as. I was saying tremendously adequate. Thanks for sharing. Best Regards Steve
  • Henry and Steve total legends of the game, met them both many times total gents and great fun to spend time with best jockey trainer combo ever. loved visiting warren place too
  • In my time , even though my all time favs were Oh So Sharp , Kris etc , on the day , even though the opponents didn’t turn out to be top class , my fav of that bunch was Diminuendo . Classically beautiful filly who showed such an electrifying change of gear , she almost appeared to float over the ground and it’s a memory that will stay with me forever , thanks for this vid ✊ Ps I was at Ayr that day Michelozzo won the rearranged St Leger and for once I deserted Cecil and backed Terimon 🤦‍♂️.. now you know why I was a mug punter for 35 years 😳 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  • I backed Oh So Sharp every time she ran and I was convinced she’d got beat that day . I’m pretty sure no other jockey at the time could’ve got the future St Leger winner ( as part of a triple crown 👑 ) to have won that guineas . Top ride from a top jockey on a top mare . Ps - how on earth when they were looking for a name for the new AW gallop at Newmarket did they choose Al Bahathri in the same year that Oh So Sharp won a triple crown ?.. 🤷‍♂️ 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  • I adored having Cauthen on a Cecil classic hope , I felt he made fewer mistakes than other top jocks - but it didn’t start like that ..🙄 In his first classic here in 1979 he managed to get what I considered as a good Grp 2 horse Tap on Wood to beat the mighty Kris .. 🤦‍♂️.. it’s 45 years later and I’m still dumbstruck and furious as phook that Kris got beat 🤬 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
