How To Fix Car Radio Code - Car Radio Repair - Anti-Theft System

What about replacing the radio with a new deck? My car alarm goes off now since old radio was anti theft. How would i get that to stop?

Ok so I put in the anti-theft code for my radio and everything comes on. Issue now is that no sound comes out even though I can change to various channels and settings.

Hi, I have a 2004 BMW 325 XI, I called BMW they said that the car didn't have a radio code. Could this be true? I took the radio out to look up the model # and serial # gave it to them and they said no code for that. Has anyone ever heard of that before? The battery was replaced at a shop that had the battery out over night. Any one have any thoughts ?

Hello, I have a qyestion, if I wanted to instead lock my radio, would there be an other way of doing it else than removing the battery ?

Bought my neighbors 2002 BMW 745i. was sitting forever, had the battery replaced and I have the radio code card, but there are no buttons to push to put a code in. I have a center console wheel that brings me to the different screens, but not a hint how to put the code in.. any help would really be appreciated.

No No No...Here's a tip, if you buy a OEM stereo that needs a code, first off make sure you have the vin for the donor car (majority of ebay listing include this if you buy one there) and then call ANY dealer for the brand of car the radio came from and simply just ask for the radio code. They will ask for the sn's of the unit and sometimes the vin number and will give it to you over the phone for free. If the first one refuses, call another. I promise you will find one that's welling to. You don't even need to be in the same state as the dealer your calling as its a national database they look the info up in. On a side note, don't ever drive your car to the dealer to get the code. This is where, majority of the time they will charge you a arm and a leg to give it to you. I truly think dealers secretly call this the stupid owner fee.
