Morgan, you aren’t even a legend anymore, you’ve ascended past that. Who knows if you’ll ever understand just how many people your music has touched
  • My mom died in a housefire during my first deployment in Iraq, and hearing this song, I can't help but think about her. I've served 14 years in the Army, but when I first joined, I always felt called into the ministry. Throughout most of my 20s though, I was a heavy drinker and kind of fell off the rails and really lost my way. By the time I was 30, I was grateful to have just established a stable life, got married, and had my first child. I'm 36 now with three kiddos, and I graduate from seminary next Friday, and this past Friday, I received word that I was selected for Active Duty as an Army Chaplain. Mom, I just thought you should know I'm okay.
  • This song... I got hurt while on duty. Drunk dtiver.. Long story short, I became addicted to pain medication and eventually heroine. 12 yr Army Vet, and 9 yrs on the police force didn't stop it. My mama even said herself after I had overdosed January 3rd 2019 that she prayed that God would either take the heroine from me or take me because I was miserable. She passed away November 6th 2023. About a month before she died, I told her i had a song I wanted to sing for her. Of course she cried, and yea, so did I bc God saved me to help care for her during the last 4 yrs of her life. I'm very grateful.

This song hits so hard man I was a drug addict for 10 years thinking I was lost but by the grace of God and the love of a strong mother I made it out I love my momma 😭
  • I am a 68yr old Black american female and this song brought so many tears to my eyes, because my only son was on a BAD path in his early 20 s and he did a 180 degree turn and now he truly is a child of God. Thank you Morgan❤
  • I cry everytime I hear this song.. It's absolutely beautiful. As a mother, I never stop praying for my children. This song hits hard. Thank you, Mr. Wallen ❤
  • I just lost my oldest son. Just know that this mama never thought the prayers were wasted. I just wish they had been answered. I love you more than you will ever know.
  • My son called me last week when I was on vacation and said he picked this song for our mother/son dance for his wedding. Made me so proud of my son! Thanks Morgan!
  • I can’t imagine how emotional his mother got from hearing this, and how proud she must be knowing this song is #1 across all country music platforms.

Morgan ... you made this Mama cry. My 23 yr old son is an active duty Marine. He'll always be my baby. I miss him dearly.👩‍👦😭 💙
  • A month ago, my 19 year old boy sent me this song and asked me to listen to the words. I cried of course. Told him how much I loved him and how very proud of him I was. Two weeks ago, I got the phone call that every parent dreads. He was gone. I will forever cherish this song because every time I listen to it, I hear my boy talking to me.

I’m a 37 year old man, I don’t care for country whatsoever. Covered in tattoos, a rocker till the end. I came across this song and for some reason gave it a chance. Now this 37yo man is sitting in his car bawling his eyes out. I sent this to my mom. I don’t get to see her as much as I would like to. Morgan, thank you. I thought you should know as well. ❤️

Brought a tear to my eye. Even at 52 momma is the rock. My momma is slowly losing her battle with cancer and is 81 but I call her everyday. This song touched me young man. Beautiful.
  • Beautiful song. I lost my mom a few years ago at 21 and she has unfortunately missed many of my adult milestones including the upcoming birth of my son, which would have been her first grandchild. Time is precious. Make that phone call every chance you can. A day will come where you will no longer be able to.

    Missing my mom 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
  • I lost my mom to brain cancer 4 years ago. It is impossible for me to listen to this song and not start crying like a baby. She was my hero. Thanks for the song brother.
  • I cried through this. It’s absolutely beautiful. As a mom, there’s nothing better than seeing your child succeed. Way to go, Morgan!

Sounds different when your mom is gone to heaven and you don't have anyone to play this for.
  • I cry every time I hear this song. My son turned it on one day and waited for my reaction. I sobbed. I felt it was his way of saying sorry for his past.
