SBR being a Dio fan fiction is a great idea, I mean, if he was able to (partially) devise the heaven plan, I can see him doing that as well

Normal human can't even think straight after locked for 1 day, and he managed to do it for 100 years

Reminder to everyone reading this and wondering how DIO couldn't get out: Water Pressure exists. If DIO did get out, or could even open the coffin door, he might have died instantly afterwards. For those saying the coffin should've been destroyed because of the pressure, it was made to survive explosions, it is entirely possible that it could survive the depths of the ocean depending on how resilient we're talking.

Fun fact: In the Over Heaven novel, it's heavily implied that Erina, being a holy woman like Dio's mom, had mercy and took the vampire into the coffin after he became one with JoJo's body and passed out. The only thing Dio remembers is the voice of "his mom" telling him to become good the day he opens his eyes again

The whole series after season 1 is Dio having increasingly crazy delusions from being trapped under the sea for all eternity while also being immortal. Stands don't exist, Dio made them up.
