The beginning of a new era. Today will be a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. This song and my world around it, will forever be changed. This is the hardest song I’ve ever had to write and sing, but it’s my favorite for that exact reason. I wrote this song to share a story about being led into temptation and facing a battle between love and toxicity. A fight and an inner battle within our selves, by choosing something or someone we know will inevitably hurt us in the end 🥀 I believe many people need to hear this, because at some point in time we’ve all experienced this pain. I’m so grateful for the love and support you all have shown me on this song and this new era. I don’t deserve any of it, but I will always be forever grateful for the continuing support on this road. This song is heartbreakingly beautiful. I was so in love with a man, practically obsessed. I listened to him badmouth my kids, and accuse me of all kinds of stuff i wasnt doing. Put up with all of it, he was my pretty little poison. Finally got fed up, a couple years later met the sweetest guy in the world. You never know how things will work out. But i know, ill never let anyone treat me that way again, no matter how much i love them. Thank you for this song.
