Funny that you can tour Blackwater with a man tied up on the back of your horse, and nobody cares, but if you go there alone, is when the problems start

Honestly they should have done it as you can go down in New Austin and Blackwater areas of New Elizabeth as Arthur, but you do it at your own risk with random patrols that pop up that can be avoided, like in the chapter 6 when just about everywhere has a wanted dead or alive. The immediate Pinkertons are on you no matter where you go, is total bs. I tried to do the stay off the roads and pinkertons continued finding me no matter where I went and ended up getting killed. Even when I temporarily avoided them, they quickly reaquired me.

I totally get not entering blackwater as a town, but having blanket sudden death for the entire state makes zero sense. If I can escape, I should be able to explore like everywhere else. I want to give Arthur the Otis miller gun 😭

If the law shows up instantly when Arthur is there, why don't they show up when the skinners attack ?

Just once, I crossed the river walking and completetly drunk, wen I fell down and woke up, pinkertons just went gone. I explored the entire south West Elizabeth with all the plants, animals and everything including Blackwater. The lawman was there in the city but they didn't chased me. I tried that many times again but never hapened againg succesfully, wen arthur fall down and wake up, pinkentorns just kill him. Just happened once by accident.

You should be able to explorer most of lower West Elisabeth during follow the yellow line missions (expect with Kieran in ch1 which limits you to western Ambarino), so long as you avoid the law in Blackwater itself. You’ll need to be careful the first time you cross into lower WE on the main road as there will sometimes be two bounty hunters or Pinkertons (I don’t remember which) posted on the ridge line. But you should be able to snipe with a bow. For crossing the Lower Montana river into New Austin, you will still be limited to the ch4 Angelo Bronte mission with John, the “Buggy” method or for the PC, a scripthook trainer or the mod.

I think you can explore blackwater and new austin, at the last mission with arthur as you go back to camp and you have to press W if you instead go in to the river it will give you full control of Arthur and the blackwater area will not have any bounties

so just keep a bounty guy on ur horse then u can enter - haven’t tried it but big thanks man - im so angry that u kinda can’t get all legendary animals and missions with arthur

Anyone wondering yes the bounty hunter mission glitch still works and you can explore tall tress and the Great Plains without having to worry about lawmen you can explore blackwater just avoid the lawmen

How tf they'd even know Arthur was in Blackwater when there's no Lawmen in them roads?

I went into that area and this guy asked for help with his horse so I was like yeah sure and then when I went chasing after his horse like 20 lawman spawned out of nowhere and shot me

So question is if I go first with bounty on my horse and im free to ride,but what happen when i go down from my horse ? they go for me instant ? I need be on horse all the time ? Or can i dismount ?

Avoiding roads in Tall Trees sometimes works and sometimes no but in Great Plains avoiding roads or no doesn't change because Pinkertons spawns everywhere
