Car Trek with a DeLorean would be mental.

Back in college I was fortunate enough to drive an original, 1 owner, 20k mile DeLorean. Not impressive as far as performance, but it was fun as Hell to drive! My buddy’s dad had bought it new in ‘81 and kept it garaged and under a cover. That thing was 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑡!

Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.

I have a door for one. Found it in a storage locker.

Legit Street Cars just finally fixed the engine on his DeLorean restoration and my head was spinning watching the video. So many weird little complications just to get it idling properly that I would never be able to figure out.

I'm only a wrenchlet, and the most I've ever done so far is a timing belt and radiator drain/fill, but I wonder if you could get a third gen of the 4A-GZE motor into a DeLorean. I was looking at what kind of engine swaps people do for these and the specs for that motor are very close to what the original motor provides, but with 153 ft/lb torque and like 168 hp. Or maybe just a Toyota A series motor in general. I will admit though, I have no idea about the geometry involved but I think a supercharger would be neat on a DeLorean, especially for the whine.

All that carnage with a full front crash. Car nor driver wouldn survive any kind of front overlap.
