This is the first time my mom is visiting us in Kerala from Finland. She had visited India once earlier, but that was a tour of North India. While we were spending most of our time at home, we also wanted to show my mom the natural beauty that Kerala is known for as God's own country. So after spending a few weeks at our house in Payyanur, we decided to drive to a nearby hill resort in Paithalmala, which is the highest point in Kannur district. It was one of the most exotic experiences my mom has ever had. She loved all the nature, food, animals, waterfalls and a great Ayurvedic massage! Annika, as usual was toddlering around, talking to all the animals and insects and keeping us busy and entertained. We all had so much fun together and a very memorable stay at Holistic Eco Stay resort. Highly recommended for a quick getaway :)

› ABOUT ME
My name is Johanna North. I’m a Finnish woman travelling in India since 2016. In 2019 I married my Indian husband and we moved to the state of Kerala in southern India, where we are still living. In 2021 we welcomed our baby girl into this world. On this channel I share videos on blending our Finnish-Indian family life, culture, food and travel mostly in India, and sometimes in Finland too.

I repeat myself over , in all these years I see so many Vloggers , yet with one or two exceptions, that too not in an all encompassing sense, I seldom have seen anyone who shoots and captures moments so beautifully with music blending in perfectly without being obstructive. And I don’t tire repeating this 😊.

Kerala is God's own place. No words to express the beautiful of each and every thing. Upon that it is very loving to watch Aanika's excitement and expression . Nice to see your mum enjoying India visit and loving the food too. ❤

Just beautiful. How can somebody not fall in love with this country. From Kerala to Kashmir, from Gujarat to Arunachal. India is the most beautiful country on Mother Earth.

After eating hot, spicy Kerala food, Mummi goes red, her nose starts running, her ears start ringing , her mouth feels like a volcano, her brain is overloaded , her heart is pumping wildly and rivers of water start running down her face. Johanna explaining to her Indian audience - Mama is crying tears of joy...

No world can beat Indian vegetarian food ; I have been to many countries and I can say this for sure. The amalgamation of mixed spices, vegetables, coconut( in coastal region food) is so filling. My INDIA is best!!
  • I am from Payyannur. Even though I too impressed with the video. Sure I will visit this beautiful resort soon with family. Thanks for your good words about Kerala and our culture.. 🥰🥰

I think Anika would really love “My neighbour Totoro” movie given how she’s always surrounded by nature and has curiosity for animals

I enjoy Kerala through your vlog! You explain them so well and you visit places with Nature’s beauties 👍👌👏❤️

Kerala is so beautiful. Your videos are topclass, the Lil girl looks like her Naani a lot. 1 suggestion: you should have 1 Finnish word in every video , that you teach to Annika, so that your viewers also learn a word. 👍🙏

Seeing the waterfall and the trickling stream reminds me of my childhood. My grandparents place was in Amboori, on the hillside. We used to spend so much time playing in the streams which run so clear and fishing in the ponds.
