Marina Del Rey bike locker program pauses after thieves steal most all bikes

Criminals win because you keep treating them like human beings with morals, and treat them better than honest law abiding citizens. Wonder why crime rates are so low in Singapore? They treat criminals like criminals...🙄

They're gonna need another $725 million for the program to continue.

They are not "thieves", they are "People exercising their Proposition-47 rights"

Just keep changing your lifestyle to accommodate for criminals. Never actually punish them

Bike thieves are more advanced than the measures used to prevent bike theft they stole my bike in about 1 min I had an expensive U lock this was at shoreline village in long beach. They work in teams of two one watches the victim possibly with a walkie talkie or cellphone communicating with the guy stealing the bike. Those lockers did not have a robust build these thieves have all sorts of tools to open them like circular saws,dremel,bolt cutters, torches etc.

What is the response time that all of those bikes got stolen without any cops arriving?? No cameras? Anything?

Actually those lockers are a joke in keeping someone from really wanting to steal something out of them.

I remember when I was like one of the only people on that bike path.. it used to be so awesome now it looks like a freeway

Hey.....just an idea. Maybe LE could put some trackers on several bikes and see where it leads. And maybe some cameras... I guess that's too hard. smh

This is what happens when local government refuses to enforce the law. You can't have nice things AND soft on crime polices... you have to choose one or the other.

Bruh people will steal anything in this economy

We feel so sorry, but as long as the wrong people keeping making decisions then this will keep happening.
