Why Satan's Death Would Destroy Heaven

Published 2023-12-13
Hey everyone, welcome to Mythology Explained. The topic of today’s video is the unlikely connection between Satan’s survival and the existence of Heaven. This isn’t something said verbatim in doctrine, explicitly asserted by theologians, or directly endorsed by Christianity, but something extrapolated from philosophical theories on evil. These theories expound on the relationship between good and evil so as to reconcile evil existing as an aspect of reality with the boundless and benevolent nature of the creator of said reality, namely God - one of the core questions the undergirds all of this being: why would God, who is all powerful and all good, create a universe in which evil exists, instead of a paradisiacal universe that was only good and devoid of evil.

Before we delve deeper, let's quickly break down what we’ll be exploring. We're looking at why some people believe that for there to be real goodness in the world, there also has to be evil. It's like saying that to truly appreciate what is right and good, and, therefore, to become so, we need to have something wrong and bad to compare it to. This idea isn't just something that’s been casually kicked around but comes from an extensive history of deep philosophical mediation about why our world is the way it is, especially when thinking about God, who is seen as all-powerful and all-good. Why would such a God allow bad things to happen or for evil, epitomized by Satan, to exist? Some thinkers say this has a purpose, a calculated feature and not a flaw in the design. It's to give us a choice between good and bad, and making the right choices, in the aggregate, is what makes us truly good, truly worthy of heaven. So, we're going to explore how all this fits together - why good can’t exist without evil and what this might mean for the existence of heaven.

  • I’m writing this comment to dispel potential confusion regarding the content of this video. It's important to note that it’s not about the defeat of Satan as depicted in the Book of Revelation, where his end coincides with the creation of a new heaven and a new Earth. Instead, this video explores a different concept: the necessity of evil, personified by Satan, as a means for human beings to manifest true goodness and achieve their best selves, thereby earning their way into heaven through righteous living. As always, thanks for watching! :)

I bet everytime a story from the christian bible gets uploaded on this channel, it probably makes many christian's angry with them immediately wanting to say "IT'S NOT MYTHOLOGY! 😡" 😂

This might freak out some theologians, but what if God and Satan are the same being that keeps balance between the two spheres.

Anyone can say they would save a drowning puppy but only by the puppy's suffering can someone prove they would perform such a deed

In reality it is no more than a logical trap that theists have created for themselves: if an omnibenevolent god exists evil cannot exist. And if evil is a byproduct or consequence of good, then god is not omnipotent, because he cannot create good without evil.
  • Life and death is like a lottery in the end we hope we hit it 😅😅

The gods granted us obstacles so that we may struggle, as struggle is glorious.

So what happens after the rapture when you are in heaven and there is no evil there? Is your state of good due to your proximity to God therefore tarnished by the lack of evil and Satan in your new eternal life? I believe in God. But when I meet him I have some hard questions that need answering.

Righteousness is not apparent, it is embodied in one entity .God. No contrast needed. This is a dangerous concept. There is no balance.

everyone basically wants to be Adam

It's a mirror universe with the 0D at the center. This side is contingent and less real. The other side is necessary and more real. Zero is the most important number in mathematics and is both a real and an imaginary number with a horizon through it. Zero-dimensional space is the most important dimension in physics and is both a real and an imaginary dimension with an event horizon through it.

wow. so, like a sunny day if every day IS a sunny day what is a sunny day??
  • @lloydmunga4961
Evil lives on without him, thru any other entity that has the knowledge of good and bad . The death of Satan is of no consequence NOW .
