This video is actually way better than the "journalism" of the main stream media. Not strong opinions, but just showing things the way they are. I lived in South Texas for only a year but liked it, more good than bad.

You really have the ability to present emotional content in a very respectful way. Part of that is your skill at choosing who to interview. Thanks for another thought-provoking video.
  • At an rapidly increasing rate, we are missing the reasonable voice, perspective from the average person trying to make sense of different, and often difficult, situations. This channel is one of those rare voices, candid footage, reasonable questions and interviews that seek the bottom line absent from the mainstream glurge. Well done..

Coming from someone who lives in the Rio Grande Valley and just 10 minutes from the border, this is a very well made video. This is what all journalism should be: show the facts, remain unbiased, and stay professional. It’s great to see the border I live near presented just how it is, without any underlying narrative.

i have noticed peter reminds me of the early vice news... lets hope he never puts a spin on things.. it is fresh and not muddied by ideology or propaganda.. i am glad i found him and his channel. keep up the great work and thank you.

This is like the best documentary I’ve seen on this. Real people. No spin.

"Give me one country without a dark history" hit hard
  • I’m a white boy who lived in Brownsville, TX. I’m 6’4 and stick out like a sore thumb. I can tell you I was always treated with respect. The culture is welcoming and amazing to learn from. Some of my best friends weren’t legal. Hearing their stories of how they got here created compassion and understanding. We’re the country of dreams, where people of all backgrounds can come to live in harmony. Is there always harmony? Fuck no. But we are constantly working to become better (at least we should be). Thank you for going down and giving a perspective most won’t experience. I now live in Minnesota and am overwhelmed by how white it is here (mind you I’m white) but I miss the diversity and culture.

Raul is just one of those cool guys that can get along with just about anybody, even the scoundrels. Straight talker, respectful, just plain no-nonsense. He's a teddy bear alright. :-)
  • @paulaluis4051
Who else is watching and reading comments at the same time 😊
  • When you only speak one language, you only see the world one way. The guy who speaks two can travel between the two worlds and understand both sides.
  • What's most surprising about your success is that it's built on the fact that you're a nice guy. Perceptive, clear, and at the same time respectful. At least that's what I think. I enjoyed this video.

I'm glad to hear you all are making a difference. It gives us all hope that some people actually care.

As a resident of South TX- this is spot on. What the media is feeding people is wrong
  • @joymae
Grew up in San Diego and lived in Arizona for 3 years. People don’t understand what’s going on down at the border and have so much to say.
  • Cajun Navy are wonderful people they are here in Eastern Kentucky still helping people that were affected by the July 28 flooding. Peter really does a wonderful job in bringing us difficulties aspects into peoples lives.

In the UK we have boat full of people making the journey across the English Channel from an already safe country (mainly france)
