Some people may reflexively think why China was so keen to broker a deal to unite the various political groups in Palestine and China must have an ulterior motive etc. As a Chinese myself, I think by showing the world that China is not tolerating the genocide in Gaza and is trying to help the poor Palestinian people is a good enough motive. From our own sufferings in the past, we feel the Palestinian people’s pain. 路見不平拔刀相助 probably was the reason why the Chinese government did what it did. I am a medical doctor and had offered my assistance many times to people on the street and to road traffic accident victims without thinking if I would receive any rewards or get myself into trouble if that person died. All Palestinians must unite and fight the common enemy. I am on your side and wish you will have your own home and your sufferings will end soon.
