A discussion and points to consider if you're comparing these three hobbies if you want to choose only one. I refuse to say one hobby is better than another, but these points should give you things to consider in the discussion.

At 54 and being a grandfather,I can still get away with playing NERF with my grandchildren,so you're never too old Coop.

When it comes to Nerf, and other things that society would say is a no-no for legal adults, I subscribe to this philosophy I heard a YouTuber called TJOmega say: There is no age limit on fun. If you have fun with something, you should never let another person tell you that you're too old for it.

I collect hotwheels and people say I shouldn't because it's for little kids but I still wanna do it, pressure is hard to do what I love
  • @TomRoot
I hate people that are against any one of these. I love all three, they're all great!

When I was 12 I thought of these 3 hobbies. I chose Nerf because Airsoft is illegal in my country and I can't even find any paintball sites in my country (they're legal) Nerf has cheaper products while airsoft maintains a realistic look during games.

Interesting comments.  I never thought I would hear Nerf compared to airsoft and paintball.  Being that I'm 40 (almost double your age) I'll provide my thoughts on the topic.  I sold my Tippman A5 with upgrades to purchase an airsoft M4 and pistol.  My son has been randomly buying Nerf since he was old enough to pull the cocking mechanism back, but I never gave it much thought.  It wasn't until "Dart Warz" opened up in our local town that Nerf even crossed my mind.  At that point, price comes into play.  Nerf is WAY cheaper.  I spent over $300 on my A5 and around $250 for my M4 and pistol.  If you spend $99 on Nerf, you are buying top of the line.  Heck, $50 may be top of the line, depending on the series you are into.  For us, we don't have to worry about darts or discs because they are provided by the facility.  If I had to buy good loadouts for 4 people for airsoft or paintball, I'd be broke.  With Nerf, I can pick up 4 CS-18's for $160 (even less when on sale) and be competitive.  Well, competitive being anything that shoots more than one shot at a time.  The free rentals are complete garbage and the cost to upgrade is so expensive, you'd be better off putting that money toward buying the blaster. The next big thing for us is age.  My kids are 8 and 10.  I doubt my daughter will ever want to play airsoft or paintball because it hurts.  And even if she did, I'd have to wait another 5+ years.  With Nerf, the entire family can go out and play today (including my wife!). Now, I have the excuse that I'm a father playing with his kids.  I can't see myself and a bunch of 40 year olds playing Nerf in the park, it just wouldn't happen.  But my wife and I chasing our two kids around in the park.. Totally...

I am of similar age, and I am into airsoft and nerf. It really sucks that you get the too old comments. I tend to lean towards airsoft because, the people I play with are of similar age. No one plays nerf nearby me. I loved the tips and, happy nerfing.
  • Yeeaaahhhh, spin all the yarns you want, Coop. We all know why 12 year-olds won't invite you into their basements (yes, that sounds creepy). They all know that you would annihilate them.
  • Im into airsoft but i have a few nerf guns to and i enjoy bolth. I also love real firearms

The part about the bossing around in airsoft, just become a sniper. Youre a lone wolf 95% of the time. No one bosses you around.

But the single best part about Nerf is the spontaneity. I can just hide nerf guns around my house, and at any time I can whip one out and shoot my friend and start a war with absolutely no fear of hurting them or damaging my stuff. You could never do that with the other two.

Just stumbled upon your channel.  Great life philosophy.  I rarely play any of these games (I prefer target shooting and competition with the real thing), but I'm fascinated that there is such a sub-culture of "Nerfing" (never heard the term before).  I'm subscribing because this seems wild.

UR 2 OLD 4 DIS. Alright, no really that's a joke. I agree with you on this video 100%.
  • I believe that nerf is for people who don't want to spend a lot of money and are just trying to have fun. The people who say that airsoft is better and we need to man up can do what they want. Because airsoft, paintball, and nerf are for fun and it is not like any of them will take very far in life. But we can make memories with all of them.

Yo, this is why I love ur Channel. You got me back into nerfing and got me into modding. Your channel is the best nerf channel on YouTube!
  • @Dronesword123
When he says come at me at the end, I just imagine some 3 people hammering him with bbs, darts and paintballs and the screen closes out
  • @cas9564
As far as I know, airsoft is actually illegal in New York and some other US states.
