Between lack of sleep from her haunted apartment and constant rejection from those around her, college student Mira’s life is less than satisfactory at the moment. But if she’s learned anything from her favorite comedians, it’s to just laugh! After all, a little laughter never hurt, right?

Mira: Jocelyn Wadland
Anna: Mary Jo Swank
Alex: Jon Vellante
Laura: Alexa Portigal
Armin: Jake Casper
Kassie: Charlotte Kidd
Miguel: Max Littlewood
Neighbor: Jaime Si
Director of Photography: Jaime Si
Production Assistant / Sound Recordist: Christina Pucci

This film was made possible with the help of a lot of special people, especially my incredible crew Jaime Si and Christina Pucci, who worked tirelessly to bring this film together. Also a special thanks to my Professor Sam Lotuff, whose advice and insight helped me through the difficult process of making a student film during a pandemic.

I hope you enjoy the film! And, of course, please be nice to your roommates, who knows what could happen if you're not...

Professors need to stop assigning group projects, this happens EVERY TIME!

Very well done, I felt so bad for her. It made me want to hang out with her and watch Martin and Lewis.
  • @omgimarie
This is brilliant and really hit me to the core… there’s been too many times where I’ve been her. Just longing for a friend. Someone to fucking talk to. Someone to just act like they even care. It really will drive a person
  • Laura and Kassie are the kind of students that I wouldn't never want to be placed in a group with, always the one who makes it look like they are the ones staying on top of the entire project while making others look like they aren't contributing much to it. In any group of students at any academic level, there is always a Laura. And for every Laura in a group there also always a Kassie, the one that doesn't really contribute anything and is always negligent of the group work.

She seems really lonely and desperate for friends but they just seem like they don’t want to be her friend. She does things for them to gain friendship cause of her low self esteem.. so sad 😞

Nothing I can say that has not already been said. Great storyline superb acting, my heart went out to her, her loneliness really got to me.
  • I'm impressed with that young ladies acting.....and who disses apple juice ? Fight me!

Bravo! Well done. Ms. Wadland really stands out as a talented new actress. I've been a Mira in my life( without the demon powers) ..wish I could hug her and hang out with her. Great acting and story concept. Hope to see more from y'all..
  • Moral of the story, never ignore someone who is dyer need in seeking attention. Good flick.
  • Really brilliant short movie. Horror that stems from the inside out. A very inventive and contemporary take on psycholigical horror. Really intelligent storytelling. Great acting. Didn't even know movies like this were still even made. Congratulations!!

That girl is a really good actor. Just excellent film all around. Well done!
  • @britt.any_time
i rly like this girl ~ she's naturally beautiful + completely on point with the role she's playing
  • He didn't do anything to her. I felt for her, but she deserves to be alone now, solitary confinement, for life.
  • @tiffany8861
That was brilliantly done ~ like everyone else I felt so bad for her, she was just seeking a friendship but no one could spare anytime at all. The twist at the end is probably not far from reality for some~ loneliness can be so consuming and create many psychological cracks in a persons psyche. Congrats on this Masterpiece~ I was laughing with her in the end! 🥳

Hope the lead ends up having a career, she did a really nice job here.
  • @taracollins5597
Wow! Wow.....you never know who might show up & 'want to be your friend'. I felt really bad for that girl, as I was that way. But be careful.....Evil is seldom a friend of HUMANS.

jocelyn wadland did a really good job in this. Usually these short films you have to sit some pretty bad acting. But she was very good. Cool premise and well done.

Very good acting indeed! Anyone in any of these situations with roomates or classmates i'm sure recognized each of these charactes/personalities or may even BE them. Gosh it takes so so so little to be kind, she cpuld have just told her thank you but im not interested from the beginning instead of leading her on, pretending to be nice and saved both of them ( and the guy) alot o trouble. Also: you never know who has a demon thing waiting for the right jerk to force their inert dark powers to awaken, soooo.......
