Morgan Freeman being god is the most believable part of this movie.

I love how Morgan Freeman manages to portray the sternness and intimidating aspect as well as the kind and fatherly typically found in God.

“The elevator’s broken.” So Bruce takes the stairs. Elevator to Hell is broken. Stairway to Heaven is fully functional though. Bruce takes the stairs and meets God.

One of the greatest moments in this movie, one that actually helped me on my own spiritual journey, was Morgan Freeman's answer of 'yes' to Jim's question of 'can i ask 'why?' . I grew up Southern Baptist,and we were always told never to question God when bad things happened.

This clip shows him as father son and holy spirit. The son cleaning up downstairs(Earth), holy spirit trying to fix the light(faith) and father, running it

Much as I love this movie. It has a sinister and deterministic aspect to the story that god can still know when it’ll all come crashing down for Bruce.
