On Sunday, US President Joe Biden announced he was not going to seek a second term in office. Last night, he explained to the American people why he had chosen to abandon the campaign trail and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris. For weeks, Biden had been under pressure over his health and doubts about his ability to beat Republican candidate Donald Trump.

He did the right thing, putting country before his legacy
  • American politics in last 3 weeks has been like roller coaster gun was fired on trump it hit biden and harris came out as leader 😂😂 but i wish American people choose the best 🫡👍👍
  • Once again, in an all too long series of "agains," we Americans with even a hint of curiosity have to rely on foreign news sources to get a clearer view of the internal machinations of this American Political Party Duopoly that has no basis whatsoever in the US Constitution! Although I was born and raised in the USA, during most of my adulthood I've been lucky enough to travel overseas and live for months at a time in a few Western European democracies. At the age now of 71, I look back at just what an epiphany it was when I first traveled to Europe in 1976 (that was the Bicentennial Year of the American Revolution, mind you) to live there for about 4 months. To have seen, even way back then, just how more vibrant the free press was in The Netherlands, Luxembourg, and even in bureaucratically dysfunctional France was an unprecedented insight into just how "curated" and "triaged" the Corporate American "News" Media had become. And it has only gotten much worse, increment by merciless increment, ever since then. Thank you DW for trying your journalistic best to inform the American Public!

Not only is he a lame duck, but he never explained why he gave up presidency and passed the failures on to kamala

Do you know what the best part of all this is? The Americans are fortunate. Even after all this mess with the Democrats, somehow they will keep going about their business as if nothing happened. God is American. No doubt about that.

I thought reason is referring Zelenskyi as "Putin". How old is too old? That's the question.
