  • As someone that has lived 90 min from the Gulf of Mexico for 67 years and goes to beaches several times a year, go on a pier, go down towards the middle and look down at what is in the water, then look at the beach where swimmers are. There are always lots of sharks, rays, barracudas and other fish in the water all the time. Best way to avoid attracting them to your area is: dont wear shiny jewelry, do not go in if.......... you have a wound or are on your period, your are wearing bright or shiny fabrics and bright colors such as white, silver, gold yellow or orange, the water is cloudy, if it is early morning or late afternoon to dusk, there is a lot of splashing and noise. Rays hide under sand, wear water shoes and shuffle your feet when walking at low tide or afternoon. The beach seems like a fun filled paradise, but in reality, it is a wilderness.
  • Sir, the shark was not lurking. He lives there.
  • @KTLBT
Sharks are always there. Seen or not.
  • Sharks in the ocean? Next they will try to tell you that it snows in winter! Crazy talk 😮
  • "You yell barracuda, everybody says, "Huh? What?" You yell shark, we've got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July."
  • @RLN1972
You don’t close the beach because there are shark sightings!! The sharks are there every day whether you see them or not! If that is the case you might as well close the beach forever
  • If people knew how many sharks there are, they’d never go swimming in the ocean lol
  • Forced to close the beach because sharks live in the ocean?! No way! I mean where else are they supposed to go? God forbid sharks inconvenience humans by swimming in THEIR natural habitat 😒
  • @MG-ot2yr
Reminds me of that shark that terrorized a beach town almost 50 years ago, they delayed closing the beaches. They had to hire shark experts to hunt it down, but the boat wasn't big enough.
  • At the end, she failed to give the most crucial shart avoidance advice, and that is to also be aware of shark feeding times. Sharks tend to feed in the early mornings and late evenings, so if it's a high-traffic area for sharks, maybe avoid the water at dawn and dusk.
  • Bull sharks love people going to the water only up the their waist...
  • @J57133
I thought we would just share the ocean and sing kumbaya
  • Don’t go in the water…..ever. Just don’t. Promise?
  • Farewell and ado to you Spanish lady, farewell and ado to you lady of Spain. (Jaws)
  • "You're gonna need a bigger boat drone!" 😉 They said the sharks swim near people, but leave the swimmers alone 97% of the time?? So, there's a 3% chance I'm going to be somebody's lunch??!?!! Okay then.
