In 2012, I went to Costa Rica and was talking with a staff member at the hotel. He asked where I was from, and I said “Chicago, where President Obama is from” and a big smile came across his face and he said “Presidente Obama.” I felt extremely proud to be an American at that moment.

As a Canadian, it's bonkers to see Obama, Harris, and Walz speak passionately and clearly about where they want the country to go, and then watch Trump slur, stammer, make wild baseless accusations and just generally talk absolute nonsense, and think that half of America will vote for him.

Oh my word. I have missed this. Michelle and Barack giving speeches and just talking to us like family. The intelligence, the poise, it registering and making sense upon the people. Not lying, bullying, tearing us down. No windmills, sharks, stealing others speeches just being relatable. What a sheer pleasure to hear them speak.

I was an independent at the DNC in 2008 and was part of the protests w/ Iraq Veterans Against the War, but Obama listened to them and he won me over more with every speech since then.
