  • Seriously, destroying the hallway in Rogue One is the most badass scene of them all, how is that only number 4???
  • @Trey_816
"It is... too late for me, son." That was the first time Anakin, not Vader, spoke in many years.
  • "I am NOT your failure; I killed Anakin Skywalker": "Obi-Wan" series
  • Should’ve included Vaders entrance at the end of Fall Order.
  • Also, I know it’s from the comics and not any of the movies/TV shows, but Vader’s “All I am surrounded by is fear…And dead men.” line when pinned down by an army of Rebels deserved at least an honorable mention.
  • Darth Vader vs 3rd sister should be here. It was one of the best depiction of Vader's strength. It was literally a master against a student.
  • In Return Of the Jedi, his final reconciliation with Luke? Mhwah. Chefs kiss.
  • LOVE how in their duel on Malachor, Ahsoka is more often redirecting Vader’s strikes as opposed to outright deflecting them since she knows she can’t match his strength head-on. The attention to detail in the lightsaber duels never ceases to amaze.
  • I would've included a scene from The Clone Wars where Anakin is shown his future by the Son on Mortis. We as the audience already know Anakin's dark future, but to have him see all of the horrible things he'll eventually do - without knowing why - is blood chilling and heart breaking. And the irony is that Anakin does the things he does out of fear of harming the ones he loves, and the Son manages to temporarily steer him to the Dark Side for the very same reason. It's a momentary relief when the Father erases Anakin's memory of that vision to ensure peace, but we still know that that future was set in stone 😭
  • All Darth Vader scenes are cool. His voice and breathing are iconic. May the fourth be with you.
  • @tdi21
If not for James Earl Jones, Vader wouldn't have been even half the GOAT he is today You hear the breathing and you KNOW And then, like Hamill in Empire, you have just one thing to say: "NOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOO!"
  • The final scene from Clone Wars is one moment that should be honorable. Along with the big boss battle Jedi Survivor.
  • An interesting fact about the Battle on Mustafar is that, originally, the plan was for Anakin to break through Vader briefly after he was cut down by Obi-Wan and ask for help. You can even still see it in the final cut that made it into the movie. Just before he screams about hating Obi-Wan, you can see Anakin mouthing the words help me. While it wasn't intentional, I think that actually makes it even more impactful and heartbreaking. While they'd tried to remove that part of the scene, by removing the dialogue, it makes it even more tragic an end to their battle. For the briefest of moments, Anakin is able to break through the Vader persona that has consumed him, but Vader is still so overwhelming that he stops Anakin's voice, meaning Anakin's final plea before falling deep down inside Vader goes unheard, the realisation of that causing Anakin to lose hope and thus lose that final small bit of control he'd struggled so desperately to get, giving Vader the power to bury him deep down within his hatred and rage. It makes the scene so much stronger and that's honestly pretty cool when you think about it
  • In 1977 a cimematic icon was born. thank you David Prowse and James Earl Jones for bringing this character to life.
  • May the 4th be with you. Star Wars would not be as fun to watch without Darth Vader. Revealing he is Luke’s father is still the biggest plot twist in movie history. Darth Vader has many great scenes. I would put the part with Darth Vader slaughtering the Rebels higher on the list in Rogue One. That scene was short, but we get to see multiple people against him who are not match for him, and using the force along with his lightsaber Vader is badass.
  • The moment where he is sitting on the jedi temple and looks to padme through the buildings should Get at least an honourable mention
  • I’ve always loved the scene in ESB when his helmet is coming on in his meditation chamber. Shows what Vader truly is behind the mask
