Rex using a Commando Droid's head to get them to open the door to Rishi Outpost (TCW S1E5 "Rookies") should've been an honorable mention.

Galen Erso knew what he was doing when installing the Death Star’s fatal flaw.

Once we ridiculed the Death Star's weakness as a stupid oversight and then we realised that it was intentional.

What about Obi-wan sneaking onto Padme's ship to find Anakin?

Happy Star Wars Day, Watchmojo, May the 4th be with you! I always anticipate your Star Wars themed lists.

I think both Ashoka saving Rex and Anakin saving R2-D2 were also decisions that should’ve at least made the honorable mentions. Ashoka never would have survived order 66 without Rex and Anakin would be long dead before Revenge of the Sith if it wasn’t for R2-D2

Luke Deciding To Go With Obi-Wan Saved His Life Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope There are many important planets in Star Wars but none seem so out of place as Tatooine. The desert world hosted many pivotal galactic events, but the most important thing about it was being the home to Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Kenobi watched over the boy, who would seek him out looking for the new R2 unit his Uncle Owen had bought. This led to Kenobi revealing some truths to Luke. Luke cleverly chose to go to Alderaan with Obi-Wan. This event changed everything, as it led directly to the destruction of the Empire.
  • May the 4th be with you. There was also Obi-wan separating himself from the group. Knowing he was the person Darth Vader wanted to to go after. He makes sure Leia would get home safe and he manages to defeat Darth Vader.

Finn: "fuck this SITH im out!" re: Battle of Endor... I think the smartest move was Lando realising shield is up - and Ackbar acting on the info to cjange course. Otherwise it would be really shortest offensive in history.

Obi Wan kept the high ground. It was like 2 meters but that's higher than 0.

Actually, decisions #6 and #2 were pretty stupid. In both cases, Palpatine sowed the seeds of his own destruction. Luke points out to him that his overconfidence is his weakness. Luke was right. By the way, Han shot first. And that was smart. 😀

The smartest decision ever made in Star Wars was when Anakin threw Palpatine into the Death Star’s reactor in RotJ.

I notice that killing Jabba isn’t on the list. That was a smart move. If Jabba had survived it would’ve caused many issues later down the line.

where’s the count dooku plan to kidnap chancellor palpatine with the band of bounty hunters in clone wars ?
  • If you think about it. The scene from Empire where Luke goes to save his friends was a actually a good decision. Despite Yoda telling him not to. Sure he lost his hand but at least he got to know who his father was. Which he used to turn Vader on the Emperor
