You can run your AC during a outage. Look up micro-air ‘easy start’. Put one on my AC so can run off generator. It’s a soft start that cuts the start up current. Thanks for the video, Nice job.

Get a soft starter for your AC…you can install yourself. Then the powerwall can turn it on solo. Plenty on you tube videos for the install of the soft starter

Great video as always. I learned a lot from Tesla but decided to go another route, their customer service was below average. There are a a few solid local contractors it just takes a while to find a good one but they are not at Home Depot or Costco.

Great video and thanks! You have a special effect from 5:42 to 5:47 where an animated yellow dashed line shows the electric flow. Nice touch! Can you tell me how you did it? Thanks! Buck O'Connor

Hello. Great video. Ran into your video while re-researching charging issue with my Brand New Solar Panel system which installed on last week. Unfortunately, my solar system won't automatically start collecting energy in the morning. But if I manually reset (turn off and back on) the emergency shut off box and button from the side, solar will starts capturing to battery. Contacted several teams from tesla, waiting for response. So frustrating... Anyway, thank you for your video. Very informative!

Reply to User's Comment:"Great video! I totally agree with the importance of having a backup power source, especially when you're out camping or spending quality time with family. Have you considered the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It's a versatile powerhouse that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods. It's waterproof, has massive capacity, and even supports solar charging. Definitely worth checking out for outdoor enthusiasts and RV lovers like us!"
  • Cool. Bought a model 3LR this year and working up my plans for a 20kw system. We only get a couple sunny days in December but the system can still put out over 1kw under the clouds, or 6kwh on the worst days if not covered by snow.
  • Have you heard about the Tesla power buy back program. You can now produce cash flow with your system. Thanks for the great update on your system, it was very helpful.

the camera at the end, was that the MKBHD backed camera?
  • Looking back do you think you needed 2 power walls ? For a larger order sometimes it’s saying I need 2 power walls .. I just saw you said you needed two for the a/c but is there any other reason to get 2 power walls
  • @HabilisMan
Buy a soft start for your AC. It will lower the amps it needs to turn on, and it will start up smoother. Look up the ICM870

I just have 2 months with Tesla ,24 solar panels but everyday my production is different even the sun is same, sometimes production is only 5kwh and my house consuming 9 to 10 kwh,but is producing always at night or early morning 4 am,I called to see if the reader is correct

So you are in Dublin CA? I just moved to Sunnyvale and oh boy electricity is darn expensive!! Coming from Quebec, Canada where it was 8 cents per kW. 😆 I am looking for power wall 3 and get second hand solarpanels.

As a Florida homeowner who installed solar two years ago, your decision to use Tesla was a good one. I used a third-party, who, as you say in the video, dissolved the company, and simply opened a new one. Therefore, I have no warranty. My setup is manufactured by Enphase. I ve replaced an electric circuit twice. Next house, I will definitely go with Tesla. The 3rd party installers are crooks!

Do you need a permit from the City??? Thanks
