    The Pennsylvania Railroad was noted for its exceptional engineering skills. The fact that the tubes under the Hudson have survived for over 100 years (Hurricane Sandy, not withstanding) is a testament to the skills of the PRR staff and management under the visionary leadership of Alexander Cassatt.
