When a man that has driven everything under the sun decides to spend his own money on a car, you know it's good.

We need more of Chris on YouTube, I miss the good old days. Chris Harris on cars was amazing.
  • @AliasHSW
Agreed! “What’s the point of working when you can’t buy stupid toys?!”
  • @Chrissy-H
This film gave me such “Chris Harris on cars” vibes. Proper stuff, love it!
  • @WDLC1911
That’s the prettiest BMW in years, too.

    5 stars.
  • Chris still produces the best car driving videos on YouTube - period.
  • @carswithluke
Brilliant video, I wanted one when I filmed it a year ago and I still want one now, really got under my skin that car!

Pleaseeeeee more Chris Harris content, don’t care what it’s about but I could watch him for days
  • @infidel900rr
I remember as a young adult saving everything I could for the next car or motorcycle - when you look at that way, blowing lots of money on something like this suddenly seems reasonable.

Over 19 years I read the articles about cars by Chris Harris. Even today I still have some newspapers in the cellar that are almost 18 years old. And I like one thing he does. He is an honest journalist / driver who is not afraid to say about very popular brands: It sucks! I almost bought the new M3 but after Chris' report, I decided to keep my beautiful M4-2015. Yes, the car is just fun
  • Man, I feel like I’ve watched him slowly grow older. One of the best reviewers period

  • @TheColnago
Definitely keep it, Chris. If you have the space. The green & gold is so cool and the stance is just perfect. Perfect blend of power, beauty and practicality. Great video too. Like Chris in the old days. Enjoyed every minute of it.

The way Chris does his videos is really smooth - I LOVE THAT! I don't like fast stuff, frames which I could not see.
Chris, PLEASE, PLEASE, make more of these! I remember your videos from before and I know you have a heart driven by petrol!

I bought my M2 in 2018 and I still love it. The M division had taken an M235 (itself, a fine car), put it in a cage and fed it performance enhancing chemicals and the result was the OG M2. Then it escaped from the lab. I'm half joking but the car has been a lot of fun and I still get a few compliments.
  • @TheHunterHofman
So happy BMW decided to make this, it must genuinely be one of the best cars ever made

Glad you've had such a good time with yours, Chris. My 2021 M2 Competition flooded itself with rain water with only 400km on the engine (presumably due to poor sunroof guttering fitment from the factory). I've spent almost 6 months trying to get BMW to treat it as a manufacturer warranty situation, which they've refused to do at every turn. It would appear that poor guttering and seals, leading to a brand new car flooding itself during regular rain is the customer's fault.

As a result it's sat there almost entirely undriven, and still unrepaired for the entire year. My friend's sister-car in a neighboring state had fitment issues in the cockpit leading to wind buffeting, an intercooler hose which came off on the highway and left him broken down with the kids in the back, and then finally had its sensors decide all his tyres were flat, stranding itself on his driveway.

The M2 has represented the single worst automotive experience I've ever had, and I've heard about a notable number of build quality issues with others outside of mine. It's interesting to see how a person's experience with them can drastically change based on the seeming flip of a coin. Again, glad you've not experienced this, as I would not wish it on anybody. Certainly not with BMW's complete apathy toward the situation. It's important that people also hear about the other, slightly less exciting side of owning these cars.
