I went to rehab almost 20 years ago. Alcoholism is such a nasty disease.. it robs people of everything. I found Amy’s music through YouTube premium.. had no idea she was so talented. Thanks for doing such a respectful video about her. Rest In Peace Miss Winehouse

you never know what someone’s going through.
  • Thank you for remembering Amy. Also thank you for uplifting her and not dragging her the way some bloggers do. You enjoy your trip Mobile Instinct and stay safe🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.
  • Recovering alcoholic here. 30 years drunk. Stopped cold turkey on 12-19-2019. I wish I had never started drinking in the first place. Rip. Amy Winehouse. Love you. Don’t give up on trying to get sober. Keep trying.
  • I was angry with the vile things punks said about her when she was ill. She had enormous singing talent equal to the very best which is gone forever.
  • Amy's tenure was brief, but her legacy is long. A class act who was funny, sassy but more importantly a fantastic vocalist and lyricist. I hope she is up there singing with her idols Billie, Frank, and Dinah wherever she is now.
  • How very sad. She was a tortured soul between her mental health and addiction. Rest in Heaven sweet Amy. 💗
  • I remember the weekend. She died on Saturday and 1 day earlier there was the horrific 2011 Norway attacks. I would watch the news about the attacks and my wife would listen to her music all Sunday long. It still feels as if it is just 1 or 2 years since it happened.
  • For my mother her favorite was Janis Joplin. Amy was that women for me. I remember being devastated and virtually depressed for weeks after she passed. Thank for speaking of her with such respect.
  • Me and my girlfriend LOVE us some Amy winehouse. A truly unique voice that was taken from the music world way to soon. Rest in love young queen ❤
  • Chris, thanks so much for remembering Amy Winehouse. To this day, I listen to "Back to Black" on Vinyl LP at least once or twice a month. I am a vinyl record lover and am so thankful my wife found me this vinyl album, long out of print at the time!

I know that alcoholism was largely blamed for her death, but her brother Alex felt it was bulimia and essentially mental health including borderline personality disorder for her young death. So very tragic. I read both of her parents' books.
  • She had an amazing voice and it’s terrible what happened. So much talent and battling demons. I wish she were still here.
  • This video shows a lot of compassion for Amy. Well done.💜

Her last concert absolutely broke my heart to pieces and to this day it's unbearable to watch. To witness her suffering the way she was and all anyone seemed to care about as they watched her dying before their very eyes was being entertained and the almighty dollar. If she were my daughter or sister, I would've literally walked on that stage threw her over my shoulders and fought her like hell until she got the help she desperately needed. RIP🌷🌷
  • I jam her music every weekend. I’ve always been a big fun of her take on the blues & jazz. That oldies fashioned voice she had is timeless and it’s sad what addiction can do.

She died when I was studying in Germany. My professor was British and he was upset about it. It was a shock indeed. Thanks for the video!
  • I watched the Amy Winehouse documentary recently. Even though I wasn’t into her music, I found it very interesting. Thanks for showing us the house and grave.
  • After my stepmom murdered my dad, his funeral on my 21st birthday, I spiraled and fought alcoholism. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. It runs in my family and I’m proud to say I’m sober. 8 years but with two lapses. So technically two years sober. We do recover. You are worthy recovery. You are loved. You are definitely NOT alone in your pain. Feels like it but you are not. ❤
  • Amy's demons were too much for her to outrun, she was amazing. She is truly missed.
