The green bubble, blue bubble issue has always seem very stupid to me. The fact that people are actually making that an issue shows how petty people have become.

Why doesn’t the government look into Walmart?
  • My first computer was an Apple //e. My first IT job was a computer technician at Computerland. I got to work on the Apple Lisa in the workshop. I was disgusted I could not do component repairs on simple modules like power supplies for the markings on the components being shaved off and no access to service repair manuals. I was further disgusted at the power supply module replacement cost. I was also very disappointed that Apple turned it's back on Steve Wozniac open ended design and the whole industry of peripherals his design created with the Apple // & /// products, to such an extent I dis-appointed apple from my choice of brand. Also a novice programmer, moving across to the Intel platform allowed my novice experience to go professional by the age of 19. Sorry Apple, you lost this fanatic a long long time ago, not that I don't think Billy is not a POS.

I'm still surprised that the government even managed to sue Apple in the first place given their competency.
  • @KingKikikoi
Sue the government for never fulfilling any promises
  • @Acid_Ash
Yet another “hot debate” for the government to focus on instead of fixing what's really important

I think the best way to break a monopoly is not to force it to break apart but remove the protections it relies on. Remove Apple's ability to sue for breaking their walled garden and you'll find people developing ways to sideload apps, reverse-engineer iMessage, develop better drivers for Apple peripherals. Sure, Apple will fight back and patch whatever exploits let you sideload apps. And then people will find new ones. It will be a constant cat-and-mouse game, but I think that is the best way to solve the issue while respecting Apple's freedom to design a product as they see fit.

I still dont understand what negative there is if apple complies with what the government wants. People would have more freedom to use their iphones how they want. And the ones that wanna stay locked down can continue to use only apple products and just use the app store to get all their apps. Edit: fixed so many typos, lol

What a load of rubbish, are people really that childish that they care what colour the text bubbles are? I’ve never heard anyone say that and I’m in England by the way if that makes a difference. I actually like texting my friends with android phones because I get green bubbles and my friends with iPhone have blue… it’s nice. As for the rest, that’s all rubbish too. If you don’t want to be in the Apple garden as you call it then don’t buy Apple things… I have a mix of Apple and Non Apple things and I like them all.

The Tim Cook quote "Buy your mom an iPhone" will blow up in his face now because of the DOJ 😂
  • @CE-cz7il
Blah, Blah, Blah. Never got the point.
  • Didn’t Tim “App,e” endorsed this government? Funny how that works, huh…
  • @AnthonyChopra
imagine a sifi story being real in 2027 were the gov could log into ur iphone
  • @Wannes_
Do the charges include racketeering on storage & RAM pricing ?
  • @CuzzinCoo
The thing is, no-one is forcing anybody to use Apple products.. if you don't like how things work, just get a PC/Android. When I switched to Apple it was like stepping into the future. Even today, I still get these "wtf" moments. I like that Apple is BIG on security, privacy, and how everything smoothly slides with speed, all while synced to other devices. I like how the products retain value, and how a macOS update makes it feel like getting a new computer. If what the government is trying to do changes any of that, that will for sure change my life. Why they wanna step us back.. df? Maybe focus on the plastic in the ocean, or the water in Flint Michigan instead. Dam! smh....

Drug rings, gang wars, international conflicts, economic crises: *exist* The Government: "ApPLe nOt bEinG faiWr 😤"
  • @firecreeper928
WTF is the gov talking about. I use an ipad and a windows ( I don’t use a phone ) and it works FINE. maybe not ultra seamless, but don’t pretend android + windows is ultra seamless.

The other day I bought a Samsung Galaxy phone, and the seller told me that there was no charger in the box, so I bought a charger as well, and then asked me if I listen to music, and I said yes, and he said I should buy a Bluetooth hands-free because the new phones don't have 3.5mm jack. So, I bought Galaxy Buds too.

One Apple product I just can't get into is the Mac. I just don't like the interface. I prefer having a taskbar at the bottom of the screen, and programs open up in full screen. Also, back in the day hated that the Mac only had one button, as I did a lot of right clicking. It is nice that they later on allowed right clicking.
