You are NOT off the rails! Not at all, you’re 100% spot on. The “food” here in the USA is toxic, unless we locally source, like you are doing. Ever since I watched your video talking about how when you lived in South America and you would lose weight when you were there eating, and moving, the same and then when you come home for a visit, you would gain weight, and so would your friends, that would also go back-and-forth. So I started asking so many people that are not from the United States but travel here, and then go back to their countries, or have moved here, and they say 100% what you said is correct. And everyone of them have said, they’re poisoning you here in America with the food. I am so thankful and so glad that you make these videos about food. Thank you.

Thank you, Kimberly, for standing up to big companies & being willing to take the fallout for doing so. I saw your Instagram post & thought it was sad how so many people were questioning your sanity. You can immediately see the difference in the people who seek the truth & those who are still “drinking the koolaid”. I have been on the same journey as you regarding my food sources. It started when I had a craving for homemade ice cream & so I went to the store to buy “natural ice cream”. Haagen Dazs was the only brand that didn’t use guar gum as an ingredient, although the labels read “all natural”, etc. My journey continued from there. You are brave to speak out. I support you 100%!
  • @JanetRajek
Local farmer great idea! Know your farmer so that you can trust your farmer. Anyone can say they grow organic and organic has a lot of different meanings today.
  • @tammy6816
Have you heard of APEEL? Bill G is behind it so that should tell you a lot. I heard Publix announced they won’t carry any produce that’s been sprayed with APEEL. Maybe your strawberry wasn’t sprayed with APEEL but it’s still very concerning whatever was used. Thank you for sharing your local growers finds! I’m in central FL and I’ll check them out!

I’m with you on this. I don’t trust grocery stores anymore. So much fake, unhealthy food. I like farmers markets and buying directly from farmers. I do still shop at grocery stores but have become very selective and I’m reading labels.

I freeze fresh picked organic fruit in season. It's almost as good as fresh. It's definitely better than the grocery store! I support local farmers.
  • @Pickkg
You’re close to Plant City, FL, strawberry season is in February. Getting Driscoll fruits at the supermarkets are based in CA, far from FL.

I used to buy fresh eggs and grass fed milk from a farm. The lady that ran it died and her brother took over. He started buying cheap eggs from the store and selling them as fresh, he also started feeding the cows roasted soy beans. I started getting sick and that was my clue. He had another sister that still lived on the farm and we talked to her and that's what she told us he was doing. As a result, I have major trust issues when it comes to people who say they sell organic and grass fed
  • This video is 💯‼️correct!! I’m a chef and holistic nutritionist and I’ve been living this way for a long time. I live in North Florida, we have farms and cattle ranches all over. Two times a year we have what’s called the “farm tours” through the Tallahassee farmers market. You can go to the farms, meet the farmers and actually see how they are growing. I have a meat guy, chicken guy, and use two organic farmers. I also have a Tower Garden (Amazing) and grow my own herbs, produce, micro greens, make my own bone broth and some herbal medicine. We need to start taking the power back. Publix is a terrible company now and insanely expensive. They were not always that way. Sold out and their produce is terrible! Bravo on this video! 👏👏👏👏
  • @tizi2003
Thank you for sharing all of this! I wanted to add that although not spraying is a great thing, it all starts from the seeds and the soil. The seeds need to be certified non GMO seeds. A grower might not spray but might be using GMO seeds sometimes without even not knowing it!
  • I feel very fortunate to live in Northern CA where we have a farmers market all year rounds. And 3 co-op type markets. It's a bit more expensive but if you're eating clean it's not any more in the end.
  • @dianahimes2179
Excellent information! Thank you so much!! I would not have known where to even start.
  • it is so wonderful to eat local!! Building a network is great to be prepared for whatever may come
  • @jest_me_thee
..."people just want the truth. they want honesty." yes, they do want honesty. yes, kimberly, they do want truth. Are you giving that?
  • I get a lot of my stuff from the farmers market. Off season we have a store here called Natural Grocers that are pretty picky about their food. This means you might not get everything. It depends on what’s in season. The produce doesn’t look stellar either. Because it’s not full of additives and pesticides. I also want to mention too. Wild Alaska Company. Not sure of where they ship but these are fisherman located in Alaska. You get fish that is straight off the boat, wild caught and I think they are great. Some farmers at the farmers markets deliver or you can coordinate with them off season. And I agree, be careful of what they are growing how they are sourced.
  • @_corrine12_
Over here in New Smyrna Beach, we have two farmers markets, and they both might as well be the grocery store. No one around here grows food.
  • Great informative video! I’m going to check out my local farmers market. I’ve been on a health journey and been focusing on exercise. Now to start on food! Thank you! Love your newsletter and channel!
  • Thank you for bringing awareness to this topic. At the end of the day, we will naturally gravitate towards an all carnivore lifestyle especially if you are seeking healthy eating and trying to avoid as many chemicals as you can. I wish our government cared about us versus protecting lobbyists and their personal greed.
  • Thanks to your inspirational video today, I just placed my first local farm order for pick up at the local farmers market this week! I’m so excited. I’ve started my research and found several local farms with good practices. There is an A2 raw milk farm nearby as well. I’ve been wanting to eat local for a while now, and your video was just the nudge I needed. Thank you!
