Looks like a mini Baja bug to me, I don't think that back end looks weird or goofy at all. Keep up the good work looks fun af so far.

Honestly, the rear end looks fitting for it. Doing a really good job!

Who doesn't like a big rear end tho? 🤷😆 I think it will look great when you get used to it. Side note, it looks cool even without the body 👍

A lot of sand rails and buggies alike have rather big engine cages/pans. I think it'll look super cool afterwards

Get and aftermarket exhaust! Less weight, looks better and BRrrrappp lol

With almost 650000 subs you must have a pretty good nest egg for a bigger shop. Fill us in on your plans for the channel Chris. You have so many dedicated fans that would love to know what your plans are.

This is a legit scaled down Baja bug. Even the way the motor sits off the rear...
  • Consider designing a roof rack. Just to protect your head. It would suit the design of the vehicle too.

Hey man. If you want less mess when cutting glass. Use a diamond grit blade on an oscillating saw (buz saw). Kicks up way less dust. Also. Don’t forget to leave room to get the belt off past the clutches/frame If you don’t you’ll regret it the first time a belt blows.

I think the rear looks great and I like the tubing personally. Don't forget to cross brace the sides of the frame behind the body.

This Beatle got back, I ain't gonna lie it's got a big butt. I hope the rapper or YT doesn't come after me. for copyright infringement of that song LOL. with the challenges of using this body. it even makes me more impatient to see how this build is going to turn out? it's still an AWESOME build so far. I'm guessing you will probably have to add weight to the front of this build? there's a trick we used to do add to the stock cars. when I was a crew member for the two race teams I was with. we used to get old wheel weights from the tire shops, for balancing wheels. and we used take 4"x 4" square steel tubing and cap off one end. add melt down the lead and fill the tubing with molten lead. and let it harden, that way we could weld to the tubing to mount it securely in the race car's. some time's we would have to add up to 300 LBS to certain places in the car's? to get the weight displacement of the race car's right. as close to 50-50% as possible. otherwise the race car's just won't handle on the race track. that is an option you might be able to use on this project. I figured I would throw that out there for you?

I don't know but it doesn't look goofy to me. That thing looks badass!

I think it looks good - I've seen builds before where the engine cage looks kind of like a basket so it doesn't look weird to me! 👍
  • You might want to think about adding a roll bar to protect your head and neck, just in case you flip it. It looks super fun, so its definitely a possibility.
