This week's video rates 10/10 for chill factor and good vibes 😎 We find ourselves in a small, uninhabited atoll in the Tuamotu Islands of French Polynesia...one of the most truly incredible places we’ve ever had the pleasure of dropping our anchor. In our line of living, breathtaking natural beauty is something we’re almost constantly surrounded by. But man, was this place special. Before I sold everything and traded a life of answering emails for sailing, I used to think sailing would be an epic journey. That every day would be an insane adventure. Which it kind of is….but in some ways, it’s also just… living. Not every day is a life or death battle with a squall, spotting land after weeks at sea, or swimming with a baby humpback whale. Some days, we just exist. And today is one of those days. So in this episode, we’re gonna slow things down a bit, and give you the raw and real version of what a day in the life really looks like for us. And today, we invite you to grab a cold one, kick back, and come along for the ride 🏝️

I've been a devoted follower of Delos for eight years, witnessing the various shifts in your production style, and I've come to appreciate each one. Exploring the intricacies of diagnosing and repairing things on the boat has become a source of enjoyment for me. It's fascinating to observe the dynamics when you have a crew, witnessing their interactions and the adventures you embark on together. The ASMR sailing videos, in particular, offer a serene escape from the daily grind of my landlocked life. This episode provides a delightful glimpse into your extraordinary lives. You are truly fortunate to live the life you do, and your willingness to share your experiences and adventures is a blessing to those of us who find inspiration in your journey. Thank you so much.

For me, this is my absolute FAVORITE kind of Delos video. It lowers my blood pressure. It makes me feel like I am part of the crew, living the best Swiss Family Robinson adventure with y'all. The only bad thing is that the video end. I could easily watch these day in the life videos 24 hours a day.
  • As I watch this in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the weather outside is -35°C and going down to -46°C tonight, with a windchill of -58°C. Hazardous frostbite conditions. So jealous of you guys right now. As to Sierra remembering all of this, it would be interesting to interview her in 20 of so years to hear what she does recall.
  • One of the most incredible episodes you’ve produced. The scenery was out of this world, literally.!! SIMPLY AMAZING
  • @kengood4466
Brian, you are one very very lucky man. Sierra may not remember details from these days. However they will be the building blocks of her personality in the years to come. What a wonderful foundation she will have. This was the perfect video to watch on a snowy, cold winter morning. Please repeat.

Well, I must say you guys have hit your peak in visual storytelling! It’s hard to believe that you don’t have a follow boat with professional camera people to record your day to day. The drone work is amazing the underwater, the time lapses everything you’re doing is dazzling. Obviously, I love the slow, laid-back visual episodes, but also love to see your adventures. You guys do you…we are just along for the ride!
  • @ernie7757
I’ll take any videos from Delos. It’s not just the adventures, it’s your family and the love you have for each other which makes it over the top special. I loves you guys more than you know. Thank you for taking the time for all these years to inspire. There’s definitely a special place in heaven for you guys. ❤😎
  • On the topic of your little one remembering all of this: even if she doesn’t, it’s part of her souls and personality. What a great life you are giving her.❤
  • @dannysolis5309
I never comment but had to tell you guys how AWESOME video this was. The slow beats, the great filming and the editing …. Great job Delos
  • @daryltubbs7996
My girls are no longer girls, 38 & 40 respectably, but I think 4-5 years of age is a golden time in a parent's life! Children develop just enough independence and they're personality blossoms! Sierra's comments always crack me up, put a smile on my face and remind me of when my girls were little girls! Can't say I like one video style over the other, I like them all! It looks like paradise and appreciate you sharing your adventures with us!
  • @jeffmorton9220
This was a wonderful video! You showed us a side of sailing family life that was pure loving togetherness, a side that any family could aspire to enjoy, even if you were the last humans on Earth. You had the boat, all the coconut water that there was, and all the food the sea provided... and all the time in the world to enjoy it! God has blessed you, Delos Crew!
  • @Wildflower90640
So dreamy! I'm really glad you include these slower-paced island breaks. The ultimate beach fire on an atoll without footprints... I doubt I'd ever be able to compare that to anything in my experience! White unblemished sands... you are correct in rating this a 10/10!!! And Sierra is picking up entire sentences from her parents. She's growing before our eyes. Her "woo-hoo!" signoff never gets old! :)
  • @brucerhodes8197
Really enjoyed the slower pace, I think if I were sailing around the world, this is what I'd hope most of my free time would be like. That said, I can't remember a single episode that I haven't totally enjoyed, fast pace, slow pace, the long passages, buddy boating with friends, even the boat work videos, you always do such a great job of explaining the process involved to make upgrades and repairs...
  • @Metaspace2
The images just keep getting better. The time lapse part with Delos in the back and the clouds going crossways is breathtakingly beautiful!
  • @Radu_s
I”ve been watching you guys sharing your life stories for 4 years and all the previous seasons up until then. I love all of them because they are real, no impersonation, no filters , straight up life, good, bad , ugly, slow, fun, crew, wild…all of it. So just keep it up
  • @Daveincc
The time lapse of the stars really hits me in the heart. As you know and anyone who has been someplace truly dark the stars are breathtakingly beautiful and overwhelming. There’s so many and you can’t focus on them all at once. The stars take on a three dimensional feeling. You stare and focus and the stars are endless. I miss the open ocean ! Thanks for taking me along.
  • @Ninja_Sloth
I loved this style of recording that shows you guys just having a normal day. By the way, I can never get enough of the underwater footage. You asked an amazing question, "will Sierra remember this all" truthfully, you and Karin will have full memories and Nugget will have warm glimpses of fleeting short memories that will last her a lifetime and reminder her of how much you love her. Cheers and fair winds (from snowpacalypse Chicago area).
  • @skent
I feel like we spent the day together, just hanging out. Great vibe, and perhaps the most beautiful landscape you've ever filmed. Bravo!
  • @MMay2099
Thank you for taking us with you on such a well produced adventure. Unbelievable dusk sky and night time-lapse among other things like the blue and black clam critter and lavender coral. This will always remain a cherished memory for your daughter and so many of your viewers. Stay safe. ⛵
